Hey guys
wondering about your opinion on hack abuse vs. glitch abuse

I personally have very little problem with glitches since it's the developers mistake for overlooking it in the game, but hacks are horrible since it's the players fault for altering the data

Hack abuse is bad. All glitch abuse, is well a bunch of glitches. Some like tweaking are mistaken for hacks though. I also used to abuse emerald cloning, it was fun and useful (i could pal park pokemon without erasing them from emerald)

If we didn't have Glitches we wouldn't have Missingno. I cannot accept not having Missingno.
Glitches = Nintendo failing at being Nintendo = Fair.

Also, training eggs = beautiful.

I thought you had to hack to get the glitches in the first place...wouldn't that be the same shit in the end?

Either way I don't care about either, as long as you don't bring some godmode Pokemon into a battle or trade it to me.

No, hacking is when the player uses something like an Action Replay to affect the game, whereas with glitches they just abuse mistakes in the programming. Like, cloning Pokémon with the GTS is a glitch; cloning Pokémon with an Action Replay is hacking.

I'm wary of both, since a glitch doesn't strike a good image in my mind. As for hacking... well, I don't like cheating in games. Ruins the fun.

Glitches are interesting finds that involve logic and quick movements (ex. RNG abuse, tweaking, etc.), unlike the lazy dudes that say "Ah, I feel like catching a lv.100 Shiny Bidoof in the ocean today!"

I don't see them as that different. With things like the Old Man glitch, yes, it's an oversight, but you're still deliberately manipulating the oversight for your own benefit.

Morally speaking, there's no difference between someone who uses a hacking device and someone who abuses cheats. The way you cheat doesn't change the fact that you're cheating. Just because Nintendo or GameFreak overlooked a glitch doesn't mean that they intended to for you to abuse it. If you go online looking for glitches that you can manipulate, you're no different than someone who scours GameSpot or SuperCheats for AR codes. The only difference is that you're too cheap to spring for a cheat device.

I couldn't say that better...

But AR for some reason just makes it BORING.AR is more noobish than glitches, the only time you use an AR is on an emulator if you're bored.AR's on an actual cartridge are for uber little whining 7 yr old kids who can't play the game properly with-out some ZOMFG its GODZILLA! super-duper all powerful poke-pals! LVL 100 HACKED pokemon. Some Kid: 'Weeeh!I went through the whole game and my starter pokemon was a lvl 100 arceus!'. If you know what I'm trying to point out.. good 'cause my brain isn't really ticking right now to get the right words.
Glitches are better (like in pokemon blue) because some of the errors that the game can have are sometimes quite entertaining,(not that I really make use of glitches anymore..) and then you can laugh at the crappy programming that went in.
Also same problem can't think of better words

Yeah, AR is stupid. For example, i could use pokesav to replace my lv 5 starter with a hacked lv 100 shiny arceus, which takes away the fun of playing (and beating) the game. And if i enter the codes in wrong..then my game gets messed up. So either way, AR fails.

Glitches, however, are different, as nothing was used to edit the game save file or the memory. Instead, the glitches were in the game already.

I don't really have a problem with ether... Unless someone says a hacked Pokémon is legit and trades it to me or something.
