Froslass
Timid, Snow Cloak, Focus Sash
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 Speed, 4 Def
Spikes, Taunt, Destiny Bond, Ice Beam
Smogon's lead set. The idea is to get at least one Spikes up, or Taunt if I suspect Stealth Rock or something. If it takes a hit in the process, Focus Sash guarantees survival, and hopefully I can Destiny Bond their lead down with me. Ice Beam is there in case the frosty lady gets Taunted.

Abomasnow
Calm, Snow Warning, Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpD, 4 SpA
Substitute, Leech Seed, Blizzard, Focus Punch
Usually the second Pokemon to come out. Hail starts then of course, and it usually has the bulk to set up either Sub or Leech Seed, sometimes even both. Blizzard takes advantage of Hail and STAB, and FP for those that don't mind Blizzard.

Clefable
Modest, Magic Guard, Choice Specs
EVs: 68 HP, 252 SpA, 188 Speed
Flamethrower, Grass Knot, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt
I just went with Smogon's Choice Specs set. I'm open to suggestions on how to adjust this thing to better deal with Scizor, since that's what I need it for most. I love Magic Guard.

Mamoswine
Jolly, Snow Cloak, Life Orb
EVs: 252 Atk, 4 Def, 252 Speed
Earthquake, Ice Shard, Stone Edge, Superpower
Seems to be a standard physical attacker to me.

Walrein
Bold, Ice Body, Leftovers
EVs: 220 HP, 240 Def, 48 Speed
Toxic, Protect, Super Fang, Brine
This set seems to be working well. I love the Super Fang/Brine combo.

Cloyster
Bold, Shell Armor, Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpDef, 6 SpA
Toxic Spikes, Rapid Spin, Ice Beam, Explosion
Switch in when I think it's safe, spin away entry hazards, lay my own if I can, explode when I'm done.

From my experience with Hail teams I think it would be best if you used a Poke who can set up Hail on the first turn so Snow Cloak can actually be useful to you.

This could be a Lead imo, except the FP thing.

Hmm looks nice, can it do well without a Sub?

I'd rather try and protect against Stealth Rock, hence the fast lead with Taunt and Abomasnow coming second. (And Cloyster's Rapid Spin as a backup plan.) I don't really need the Hail effect on Froslass, since it usually only lasts a couple turns anyway. I guess it's called a suicide lead.

Walrein does fine without a Sub. Protect gets 12% HP of healing each time (6% from leftovers, 6% from Ice Body). And even if it does get statused, I find it still usually manages to do good damage before falling, what with Super Fang. I've even KOed a few low-health Vaporeons expecting a Water attack thanks to Super Fang combined with Hail and Toxic/Toxic Spikes damage.

Hm not bad. How does this team do against Scizor, Metagross, Magnezone, Heatran, Infernape, Jirachi and etc?
Because I've KO'd many Hail teams with said Pokemon above since many know Priority moves and can usually withstand some of the things people throw at them from a Hail team, BUT the Super Fang Walrein is very unpredictable which could make your opponent go wtf.

Haven't faced any Magnezone with it yet. A Scizor in good hands is a problem, which is why I asked for suggestions about Clefable. My idea so far is to try and use Clefable to revenge-kill it before it can set up too much, but that's not always possible. At first I had a Swampert in that spot, but I decided to give Clefable a try, since it was immune to Hail and can learn moves that Steels are weak to. Haven't tested against Iron Head Jirachi either. Faced one or two Jirachi but I can't remember much about them. The others, don't know.

That Walrein just now survived an Alakazam's Focus Blast. I'm surprised at what it can handle.

Hmm it seems you might have a problem here. Now Clefable is not a bad WALL or SUPPORT, but I have not seen it do well as a sweeper. I don't think Clefable could do well against 2 BP's from Scizor if it takes SR damage, but it should be able to outspeed if your opponent is trying to set up. Although a Superpower or Brick Break would be a definite OHKO from a CB Scizor.

Magnezones that will kill your team will be most likely scarfed. The set also suggests you carry Flash Cannon which is STAB or HP Fire which would also be super effective.

Jirachi's come in all types of sets. Most seen are Trick, Scarf, Lefties or Specs iirc. Now Jirachi can be both physical and special and can carry Flamethrower, Fire Punch, T-Punch, Thunderbolt, Iron Head etc etc So I think without a fast Poke who knows EQ or a fire move your team might not do so well against an experienced player.

As for Metagross I can only see it doing a crap load of damage to this team if it has CB or an Agility up since BP or Meteor Mash will do crazy damage to most of this team but Gross isn't hard to take down with Mamoswine.

I think it would be a good idea if you carried something that resists Steels and/or Fighting for the sake of the team staying alive, something like Heatran (and he gets Flash Fire if an Ape tries to waltz in), or a dragon type.

._. hope I helped a bit

Hmm, thanks for the input. I knew that stuff you said about Jirachi though. And now that you mentioned it, I remember handling some Metagross pretty easily with Mamoswine.

You might wanna try testing it on Shoddy(if you aren't already) and I take back what I said about you needing a Dragon type, since it's walled by Steels. >_>

Edit: It says Hail team for Shoddy in the title of the thread. I'm a total dumbass. nvm this post.
