Halloween Contest
Scare Us out of Our Wits!
The Media Menagerie would like to present the very first Scare Us out of Our Wits Halloween Contest! This is a competition for instrumentalists, mixers, and video makers to show off their talents with a spooky themed cover, remix, self-made tune, or video.
The cover/remix/song that receives the most votes will determine the winner of the music category. The video that receives the most votes will determine the winner of the video category. Users may enter both categories.
Instrumentalists & Mixers
Rules for Entry
1) Only one entry per contestant.
2) Your entry must be spooky and pertain to Halloween.
3) You may cover or remix another artist’s work or create your own song.
4) Submit your own cover/remix/song; don’t steal.
5) Use as many instruments as you’d like.
6) You may sing in your entry, but keep in mind this is not a singing competition.
Submitting an Entry
1) Send the link to your entry in a PM to a moderator of the Menagerie.
2) Give the name of the song you covered/remixed and the artist(s) it belongs to.
3) If your entry is something you created from scratch, please say so.
Video Makers
Rules for Entry
1) Only one entry per contestant.
2) Your entry must be spooky and pertain to Halloween.
3) You may create an AMV or your own type of movie.
4) Submit your own video; don’t steal.
5) Don't make your video too graphic. Since it's Halloween, you have a bit of liberty, but make sure you don't include anything inappropriate.
Submitting an Entry
1) Send the link to your entry in a PM to a moderator of the Menagerie.
2) Give the names of any songs you used and the artist(s) they belong to (if you put this information in the credits, you don't need to state it again in the PM).
3) If your entry contains music you created from scratch, please say so (if you put this information in the credits, you don't need to state it again in the PM).
4) If your entry is an AMV, give the name of the series you used (if you put this information in the credits, you don't need to state it again in the PM).

Two separate threads for voting - one for music and one for videos - will be made after this thread has been locked on the deadline. All entries will be linked in the first post of each thread, and polls listing the entries will be included. Entries will remain anonymous.
ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY OCTOBER 31, 2011 AT 10:00 P.M. EST.
