I figured this would be a perfect place to tell of our favorite Halloween experiences. Whether they be costumes, have the living shit scared out of us or someone else, come share your stories here!

I don't know if this counts.... My favorite thing about Halloween is the atmosphere. I like the color combinations and around here, the weather tends to be very nice. I've often described the general time of year as "magical." Unfortunately, I don't have any stories....

That's how I feel about Christmas :D.

At any rate, Halloween is great! It's the one time of year you can dress up and act out fantasy and not have people think you're weird for it. And think about this for a moment: strangers give you FREE CANDY by walking up to their door, ringing the doorbell and yelling "Trick or Treat!".

One Halloween, some jerk gave us bibles instead of candy. So, naturally, we egged his car.

Halloween's my favorite time of year. Anyone who uses the Halloween skin here can probably guess why. I love carving pumpkins. I've already done one this year and I've got another one sitting in the other room just waiting to test out some of my fancy new carving toys. Two words: Pumpkin Gutter.

Anyway, last year was pretty fun. I had a display of 5 pumpkins, which is small compared to some people I know, but still one of the best in the neighborhood. Aiming for more this year!

Another good story was the time trick or treating was rained out a few years back so I went to my friends place to watch Signs. And I was still wearing my costume, I was a ninja that year. And the costume had strings all over it that I just untied when I got there. Now where is this story going? My friend had a new kitten, and I was covered in string. Needless to say, the movie was less entertaining then playing with the kitten all night.

My High School has students that dress up on Halloween. We also have something called "Spirit Week" which we follow a theme for the week with the last one being our school colors. (Maroon and White)

Anyway, I always get excited come Halloween because I'm always interested to see who dresses up as what. There's a lot of them unique and some that make me giggle inside (One year I had a student that was dressed like a homeless person who sat in an open vent (It was very big, BTW) and shook his can. It was hilarious.) I can't wait to see what will happen this year. =P

I like Halloween the best out of all the holidays as the stores get the best decorations in and you can go around scaring people without being called an ass. What is everyone going as for Halloween? I'm going as Kula Diamond from KOF.

I've lost all the stronger feelings I had for holidays, but I will say that Christmas always used to feel rather sad to me. Not entirely sure why, considering most of the songs we heard or sang were happy and/or upbeat. Maybe it was just that it was always cold; maybe it was that although I like the whole "lights in the darkness" thing, I preferred the warm yellows and oranges of Halloween and Thanksgiving to the white or pale-yellow-that-wanted-but-failed-to-be-white ones I think of for Christmas (sure people used red, blue, green, yellow, etc., but I am always reminded of the white and pale yellow); maybe it's because there aren't any sad/sad-sounding Halloween/Thanksgiving songs (that I've heard, anyway) while there are sad/sad-sounding Christmas songs; maybe there was either something missing from or something extra oppressively hanging in the air; maybe I unknowingly used to have some mild form of seasonal affective disorder. Hell, maybe it was some combo. Interestingly, my sister felt the same, though I'm not sure about how my other siblings felt.

Well, that was excessively mean.

Awesome. I've also gone as a Black Mage and Zelda from Ocarina of Time.

It's too bad that all comic book and anime conventions aren't held around this time of year. ;o

I always try to play through Super Metroid on Halloween... don't ask why, just a weird tradition that started when I bought the game way back in the day.

Trick or Treat isn't big around here (maybe 7-9 families come around), so there's loads of leftover candy. Which I use to keep me awake in the next day's classes :p

Yeah, same here.

I love Halloween!It's dark,fun & a time to be sneaky & pull of tricks!

The worst part though is the fact I live in a rural area & don't get many trick-or-treaters.Heh!But I don't care I'm usually off scaring the crap out of little kids.

We get some trick or treaters but not a lot. What was your favorite prank you did to scare the crap out of someone? Mine was last year when I had these little remote control spiders that could go anywhere and had this creepy laugh. My teacher was taking a swig from her coffee cup and the spiders started coming out. She deserved it. :p

The second time I got to choose my costume I went as Ash Ketchum. I was, what five? six? I was so happy. I had a pokéball . . with dragonite in it -__-

I'm thinking of going as someone from Pokémon this year, but I don't know who! My hair mostly resembles Satoshi's but that would be so lameeeee. Maybe like . . Koki to get away with dying my hair blue. ;~;

Last year, I dressed up as a fat kid in a spider man mask, and I hassled people about contributing to childhood obesity whenever they gave me candy. Good times.
