They won democratically. No one had to die. I call that progress. As long as they don't start a war with Israel...I see no problem. Hell, they're already a step up on the Iranian leadership. And maybe a little responsibility will let them mellow out.
Another positive note they discarded their ski maskes for one of their public displays. Who knows, perhaps them being democratic elected will make them see alternatives to violence. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though.
I think they may have realised that, after being elected, that they cannot afford to launch attacks against Israel personally. It's quite obvious that they wanted only a minority spot in the new government, or maybe being a strong opposition, not actually being the government itself. Now, if they attack Israel, it's not some out of control millitant group attacking the country, it's the militia of the government of Palestine attacking Israel, an act of war, and even Hamas aren't stupid enough to think they could possibily win in an all out war.
