Hardest Legendary to catch

Out of all the games, which of the legendaries annoyed you the most? Mine was in Emerald, Rayquaza. It had a tiny red health bar, it was either paralyzed or asleep the whole time, and 65 ultra balls failed in a row. I HAD to use the master ball this time. Not even the level 70 mewtwo was as annoying as this king sky god.

Agreed. It took my friend three years to catch Rayquaza because her brother stole her Master Ball. She saved right in front of him and didn't move the ENTIRE TIME.
 
Ho-Oh took forever. multiple tries in three days.

Zapdos is giving me a hard time, as well. i've actually given up on it at the moment, but i want to catch it to trade it later on.

and...Latias was really difficult as well. took me one long night and late into the next morning (after some sleep) to catch her.
 
None of the normal legendaries are hard, you get infinite chances at catching them. Anything that roams is tough though, damn you legendary dogs and latios and latias, makin' me use my masterball and what not...
 
It was the SS kyogre for me......it used aqua ring right at the start and i had to keep lower its health bacause of it.....took like 40 ulra balls and a bunch of dusk ball but never caught it....ended up using my masterball.

but any way im going to say ho-oh in my HG i was down on my last ultra ball and it was 2 days all ready of trying to get it then i closed my eyes and was about to give up and use my master but then i open my eyes and turned up the sound and heard that oh so nice click.
 
Anything Roaming.

If it roams, you need to use custom strategies to catch it...or just use a master ball.
 
Kyogre. I think I wasted around 50 ultra balls on it.

I tried to catch Azelf/Uxie and i found them beasts to catch. I threw every pokeball i had except Master Ball at them,, they wouldnt go in i had them down to a sliver of HP. I hoard my Master Balls in all the games as a last resort pokeball. I hate to use them.
 
Azelf. It kept breaking out of the balls, and used Nasty Plot when it had the chance. Then it took advantage of the boosts and KOed almost everything I have in 1-2 hits.
 
Latias! I wasted all of my 200 (yes, you read correctly) ultra balls on it. They were the only ones I had at the time.

Strangely, he was asleep and had 1 HP left and exactly 0 of the 200 ultra balls even shook once. Just broke.
 
In FireRed, I saved right before Moltres and began the tedious process of capturing him. Got him down to literally 1 HP. I used all 25 of my Ultra Balls and failed. Reset. All the Ultra Balls, gone. I reset eight times before my last Ultra Ball on the eighth try caught. Made me want to break the damned Game Pak. Also, I think I wasted my Master Ball on Entei...
 
I was really surprised at how I caught Mewtwo in HG/SS and I bought 50 Ultras, Timers, and Dusk Balls but after I got him down to 1 HP and paralysed him and threw 1 yes 1 DUSK BALL it was caught! I was seriously LMAO

Ho-Oh was lots tough to catch
 
Mesprit. With my friends, we literally put my DS on the floor, turned up the music to max, and started dancing and chanting around the DS for a few times. Then we would throw an Ultra Ball. I ended up catching it at 6 in the morning with a GREAT BALL. That sure woke me up.
 
Back in the days of pokemon crystal, I wasted a year hunting Raikou. He fought off everything, freeze my games sometimes and took a month off before when I was looking for him. I wish I never wasted my master ball on Entei.
 
Cresselia was hardest for me. Paralyzed and 1 HP and she continually shrugged of every ball I threw at her. I had to let her escape twice just to re-stock on balls. Eventually got her in a Great Ball.

Zapdos and Ho-oh in SoulSilver werent very easy either. I had to reset a few times on both coz they kept KOing themselves with Struggle. But, as with all who I target, I got them in the end.

The most annoying legendary for me was Mew, because there was an event advertised that all Toys R Us in NORTH AMERICA were having the event, but aparently whoever wrote that add forgot that Canada is part of North America and they were not having the event.

Latias is extremely difficult, yes. I had 250 ultra balls, when it was asleep or paralyzed with a tiny sliver of HP the whole time I waisted 210 of those ultra balls, only one of them clicked even once. My little brother wanted to try, so I gave it to him because I knew it was hopeless anyway........ he didn't lower its hp or anything, it wasn't asleep anymore, and on the first ball he caught it O_O My brother is seriously magic.
 
Kyogre in Hg was a butt with aqua ring, but I caught it by using Spore repeatedly so it could not use it. (took a while)

But really Emerald rayquaza is th biggest butt of them all. Never could catch him, there goes my infinate masterball trick *cries*

Ho-oh was tough too since I played during the day. Eventually got it in an ultra ball though.
