Harry Potter 7 Page Count Revealed

My mum was excited when I told her this.

She loves Harry Potter and long books.

Man.

Wasn't OotP longer than that?

And JK Rowling said it would be the longest... what a disappointment.

Yeah, OotP is like 800 something. And somehow it's the worst of the books, too.

Hm, I wonder if I'll be able to read through this in a day. The only thing stopping me from finishing HPB in 24 hours was that I had a swim meet AND a party to go to, so yeah.

I didn't even buy OoTP. I borrowed it from a friend and gave it right back. Man did that book ever stink. Definately the lowest point of the series in every sense imaginable.

OoTP was one of my favorites, imo.

I liked the takeover of the school...but it did become a little depressing. Needed more zombies, imo.

And JK Rowling said it would be the longest... what a disappointment.

Really? I thought after OotP she said books 6 and 7 would be shorter? I could be wrong, though.

Personally, I'm quite pleased with length. I think this makes it the second longest book? While I would have loved a really long book, OotP did drag at parts and this bring the last book, I want it to be the best one. Here's hoping, anyway!

No, she said she was almost 99.99% sure that it wouldn't be longer.

This means that the UK version should be about 700 pages because we don't have illustrations. And I think the US version's font is a lot biggar and more spaced out. That's what I've heard from people on fan sites, anyway.

Yep, so this is the second longest book. I thought OOTP was the worst too because it taken so long for it to start. But it did have some pretty good action scenes like in the Department of Mysteries.

The Canadian ones are the same as the UK ones. I've read a US version of PoA, nonetheless.

Cnaada also retains the "Philosopher's Stone" name.

I stopped reading these after PoA, and the same goes for the movies. I've been meaning to read more of the series since Sixth Grade, but I'm always too busy doing important stuff like...posting on a Pokémon forum.

I just hope the book is good and wraps up the story well, it seems as though I've been waiting forever for this instalment...

I quite liked Order of the Phoenix too, never really had a problem with any of the Harry Potter books - though I'd say I preferred the first three for the slightly lighter tone - made for better 'quick' reading. Prisoner of Azkaban is definitely my favourite of the lot.

I must make a note to read through 1-6 again before the summer.

There'll be plotholes. Watch.
Watch, in the first few chapters Dumbledore will be walking around, living, breathing, without anyone even thinking about how he died just a few weeks ago.

That's it? WHat a let down.

I read HBP in a day; let's see if I can do it again.

Wow thats going to be alot of reading :p

And it's not like this is Robet Jordan, who is talented enough to write a 900 page book where nothing happens.
