The films comes out today in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, me my family and gf are going to see it tomorow.

When does it come out in the rest of the world?

All thr Harry Potter films have came out on midnight on the day of the release, so this one would have came out 0:00pm on 14th... no matter where you are, it will be released that time in the timezone your in, so we got to see it first. I am going on friday to see it.

Surely Australia would have seen it first then?

I'm not certain, but I just got back from it. Let me start by saying that, as a Harry Potter fan since second grade, my city's Harry Potter Trivia Master, and a guy with an impeccable memory, the book will always surpass the movie. Not to say the movie wasn't good, cause it was. It was well done. The only issue is that there were things that should have been focused on, but were forgotten. Like the Horcruxes. Harry has no idea about the cup, the snake, or something of Gryffindor's or Ravenclaw's. And Harry and Ginny could have been better (one kiss? And not much of one?) and Hermione practically made a sign saying, "I love Ron Weasley." And yet Tonks and Lupin were addressed once (Tonks: "Sweetheart?"). But oh well. I am not disappointed in the movie. The lack of funeral at the end didn't sit well with me, but it didn't ruin the movie forever. Still as I said to Victoria afterwords, "The thing with these movies is that J.K. Rowling, even in the darkest parts of the book, always seems to have written a spark of love, or hope, or happiness. The screenplay writers don't have that talent."

The reason a lot of it isnt in this film, is book 7 is being split into 2 films, and the 7th film will start with the funeral. JK told that to the BBC.

missed that one. Okay, I'll take that.

The Burrow will need rebuilding if there is to be a wedding (WHICH WASN'T MENTIONED ONCE IN THE MOVIE)

in the books its the end of the 6th book, in the films it will be the start of the 7th film JK said.
Which is why tehy need 8 films, as there is so much to put in.

I think it comes here this Friday.

Not sure if I'm going to go see it, since I'm not a fan anymore. Maybe if someone will go with me. :p

My friends wanna drag me along. I'm not paying £5.60 to see this ¬_¬

More like, they want to milk all they can from this franchise before it ends. They could have easily condensed it into a movie like they have with all the older books, but I think they'd rather double their profits by seperating it into two films.

I wonder what they'll be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 1 & 2?

Hmmm....I wanted to go see the movie last night, but i had to work :( Perhaps this weekend.

I went to the midnight show...I liked it, it was really good, and possibly the most hilarious movie in the series.

I did not care for the ending...but if the funeral is going to be part of the beginning of the 7th...that's alright I guess.

I saw it too! Great movie, although as always, I liked the book better.

I thought it was great. I only had a couple complaints, one of those being that the ending was rushed. I mean, seriously, no funeral? No epic Hogwarts battle involving, oh, I don't know, basically every other character that appeared in the movie? Also, when did Dumbledore's death become a rock concert?

My other complaint was that there wasn't enough Harry/Ginny. I mean, it's bad enough that they altered their kissing scene so much, but that was it. They kissed, and then the writers apparently forgot all about it until Hermione inexplicably brings it up in the closing scene. Which is interesting, because Hermione was barely in this movie.

But yeah, other than the slightly rushed ending and a certain lack of romance between Harry and Ginny, I loved the movie. The whole Ron and Lavender thing was hilarious in a genuinely awkward way, which was so much fun to watch. Michael Gambon finally turned in a good performance as Dumbledore, which is pretty fortunate, considering the circumstances. And the cave scene with Harry and Dumbledore was awesome. The pacing was just great all around, up until the aforementioned ending. And special mention must be made of Harry getting "high" off of Felix Felices. Daniel Radcliffe more or less made that scene win.

Overall, considering the sixth book is my favorite, I was very pleased with what I saw. Despite a couple of minor setbacks, this was easily the best Harry Potter film to date. Now onward to Deathly Hallows!

I went to the midnight premier last night here in SD. I started writing up a review, but got very sleepy and ended up passing out. Our movie didn't start till 12:40 (utterly ridiculous), so it took even longer. It was well worth it though. But so yeah, I didn't get back here till like well after 3, and just couldn't hang after a while.

I've written half, and I'll continue to work on it some time later (I think), and hopefully offer a bit of honest takes and jabs for those looking into seeing it.
