As you can see, both films are being released on the exact same date. But the question is, which one will you watch first? It doesn't matter which movie you pick as it will lead to negative results. If you watch Harry Potter first, Winnie the Pooh will for sure flop at the box office making Disney's future uncertain. If you watch Winnie the Pooh first, then you won't have the chance to see how Harry Potter ends (if you never read the book of course). So, choose your film wisely, but I'll be amazed if someone will try to watch both films on the same date.

Who's voicing the characters in the Winnie the Pooh movie? I heard Tigger...sounds odd. I always thought Jim Cummings took over after the great Paul Winchel retired the role (and passed on).

Anyway, I'd go to see the HP movie. Might as well, seen the other ones and I am curious how the movie series ends it compared to the book. I'm curious of the epilogue stuff.

the people at Disney are aware of the rivalry between the two. check out this new trailer they put out.

"then you won't have the chance to see how Harry Potter ends"

Is that to say that one can't see both Winnie the Pooh and Harry Potter?

In any case, I was under the impression that Disney was bringning Pooh out with the expectation that it would be somewhat of a niche film.

I, a guy in college, am actually excited for the Pooh movie. I'm very likely to see them both in the theaters, so they're left even in my mind. However, the question was about which one you see first... like many of you, I'm likely to see HP at the midnight showing or on release day, with Pooh soon to follow.

I have to disagree with the OP, though - you don't really "lose" seeing either one first, since I doubt that Pooh will be a flop and it's always possible to see how the movie ends at a later time (or, like many of us, read the books already).

Harry Potter.
I, for one, have been waiting for Deathly Hallows part 2 ever since I saw part 1 last November.
In fact, I've been waiting for both Deathly Hallows part 1 and part 2 ever since I last read it last summer.
I personally don't care about Winnie The Pooh.
