Has any of you gone (and got) an actual event item during Gens 2 and 3?

What I mean is, the MysticTicket, the Old Sea Map, the GS Ball, the Eon Ticket, any Pokemon or event item that was disturibitied during Generations II (GSC) or Generation III (RSFRLGE). Not Gen IV or V, just those 2 because of how simple it was to get event items and event Pokemon during those 2 gens. And, actual, not obtianed with Emerald 365 or Gameshark or Action Replay.
 
I sent away my 3gen games to an event giving out mews. You got a Mew for each game. That's the only event Pokemon I got then, because you could send your games as mail and did not have to be there yourself, which meant a lot cheaper and saving a lot of time when getting event Pokemon. I think you could do this to get Latias and Latios, too, but I missed that one. Of course you had to wait a few days for your games to be returned to you.
 
I got the Aurora Ticket on my Emerald (I might have hacked for Deoxys on Leaf Green). We never got the Mystic Ticket.

Other than that, I got the direct downloads for Mew (RB) and Celebi (GS); also, I bought Pokémon Channel (Jirachi).
 
When I was a kid, I never knew about events like that. Heck, after gold and silver, I didn't even know that crystal existed! Oh life before Internet, how did I survive?!
 
This is not an item, but I got Jirachi via Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc back in 2004...
 
I once sent my LeafGreen to Nintendo so they would give the Aurora Ticket, it was during a promotion. Except I forgot to write down our phone number, which was required. I cried so much, I was around 9, and it was the worst thing that could happen to me, I thought. Then Nintendo sent me my LeafGreen back, with the AuroraTicket. The joy I felt... Indescribable...
 
I went and got Celebi for my Silver and Crystal versions. It's a shame, both cartridges are dead now. I'll never forget how excited I was to go to that event.
 
I got a legitimate Jirachi during Generation 3 through that Pokémon Colosseum (was that its name? I don't really remember...) promotion.

Naturally, being the klutz that I am, I lost the cartridge with it shortly after and never got a chance to use it. (T_T; )
 
My first thing was probably the Eon Ticket to get Latias. That was gotten from an eReader card from an issue of Nintendo Power. I later got the Bonus Disk Jirachi. I got Mew from ToysRus (I guess it was for the whole Lucario movie thing)... aaaaaaaaaand I think that's it.

EDIT: Man I remember going to Pokemon.com and reading about giveaways with regular and shiny Celebi and I was so jealous because it was at the Pokemon Center NY... They might've been giving away some Mew as well. Ohhhhh back in the day...
 
Yes for Gen III. Went for Aurora Ticket and Mystic Ticket events. Got an Eon Ticket from my issue of Nintendo Power and pre-ordered Colosseum which got me the Jirachi disc.
 
I had a mew, some ages ago. But as soon as Gen IV started, i got every one (Do to the simplicity).
 
Gen 3 I got my Dad to take me to an event at a shopping mall, where they were giving out the top ten voted for Pokemon. It was near Christmas so he used it as an excuse to go gift shopping and I got a few legendaries.

I was always dubious about the validity of that top 10 poll though. I guess a lot of young kids must have voted. A lot of unobtainables were missing, e.g. Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, all the Gen 2 starters etc... and there were things like Pikachu with Volt Tackle and Charizard. I appreciate why people might want them, but when Mewtwo, which is pretty easy to get hold of, makes it to the list over Celebi, a Pokemon renowned for its elusiveness, I can't help but feel cheated.

But maybe I'm just being obtuse.
 
I remember I went to ToysRUs to get an event Pokémon a long time ago, but I'm not sure of what it was, what event it was, or what game it was for. I do, however, think I got the Eon Ticket before, and I had Jirachi from something that came with my Colosseum copy. I don't know if those counted as an event, though.
