Has anyone noticed all the champions of the E4 have been debuted in the anime?

Has anyone else realized we've seen Lance, Steven, Wallace and Cynthia, all four champions from the games in the anime?

The way the anime did it was kinda odd, because I would guess Steven is the champion of Hoenn while Wallace ran off to do coordinator things.

Meanwhile we see Lance constantly go off undercover to stop criminal activity, (like the Red Gyarados in Johto or the Groudon/Kyorge stuff), and Cynthia is involved with stopping Galactic. I would assume Lance is the champion of both Kanto and Johto too.

Which of the Elite 4 champions do you think is the strongest? I would probably say Lance and Cynthia are at the top, followed by Steven and Wallace.

Yeah, and it only took then what, ten-eleven years?

Lance and Cynthia do strike me as the strongest Champions. They just give off this sort of powerful aura that Steven and Wallace don't. Then again, Steven in the anime was a CotD and Wallace was only the world's best Coordinator or something, so.

I attribute that to the fact we saw Lance and Cynthia do more than we saw Steven and Wallace do. Since we don't have all the information, I can't really say if certain ones are more skilled than others. (Their power doesn't matter, as it's pretty plain they are on the same level)

Technically, we haven't seen ALL of the Champions (Gary was a champion in RGBYFRLG, although Anime-wise, he isn't the champion).

And anyways, I'm doubtful that Lance would be the champion of the Kanto League. Johto, yes, but Kanto? The Kanto Elite 4 are Lorelei/Prima, Bruno, Agatha, and Lance. In order for Lance to be the Kanto Champion, there would need to be someone else in the Elite 4 to keep it at 4. My guess is that he's an Elite 4 Member only in regards to Kanto.

I'd say Shirnoa and Steven are stronger, since Lance utterly cheats and shouldn't count.

...ah, wait, anime forum. ><

Since all we see...hm, Shirona would still be stronger.

Maybe Steven will show up again when Gen III becomes all the rage again. :shy:

Interestingly enough, all of the Pokemon Champions except for Wallace (?) are in HGSS, too.

I'd lol if Steven actually re-appears again. Maybe he'll explain whether he or Wallace is the current Hoenn champion.

Is Lance even champion? Arg. I wish the anime would address exactly what's going on with the Kanto/Jouto Elite 4. Are they seperate in the anime? If not, who's the current set?

I do recall Marina mentioning Lance is champion in the Raikou special..but not the twerps during the times they meet him. I think they actually reffered to him as E4.

^ Nah, Brock calls him the champion of the Elite 4 in the Groudon/Kyroge episodes. So they knew it too.

So where does that put Agatha and Lorelei? Maybe that's why Agatha was at Viridian Gym in AG?

Well we still don't know if Koga ever become an Elite 4 member in the anime, which is why I wish they would show Janine in an episode.

There is only a 100% chance of having a Champion appear, give or take, in the anime.
Not so much for the Elite Four, especially Hoenn.

We honestly didn't see any Johto Elite 4 at all. No Will, no Karen, no Elite 4 Koga...just Lance and Bruno which were from Kanto anyway.

I bet the writers regret not showcasing them back in the day. I think the only reason all the Kanto ones got showcased is because they realized only Agatha was left and they quickly threw her in at the start of BF.

Actually, I think Kanto and Johto share an Elite 4. It's just that during the period of time between RGBYFRLG and GSCHGSS there were changes to the Elite 4's line-up.

Maybe in the games, but the Anime implies that they are different, if that whole "Silver Conference" is anything to go by.

They can have different Leagues and share the Elite Four. Winning the conference league just allows you to battle the elite four of that region, like Lucian explained in the anime. The case for Kanto and Jouto can be that the winners of each tournament challenge the same set of E4. How that works out is beyond me.

Was Lance ever reffered to as an Elite 4 at all in the anime? If he wasn't..then this is a case of wtf with the FRLGHGSS elites in the anime..>_> Because even if you take out Lance and Koga from the mix you're left with five other people...damn you anime for never referencing the actual interesting stuff and focusing on forgetable COTDS!

The closest thing to a reference to Lance being an Elite 4 member in the Anime was his appearance in the Groudon vs. Kyogre Two-Parter. Even then, it was only in the dub, as the same scene in the Japanese version said he was the champion of the Elite 4.
