Not sure you've noticed, but the anime seems to have been implementing more CGI as of late. Like it or hate it?

Have they gone 'Pixar'? Man. If only...

The CG animation in this show is Mareep levels of baa-aaa-aaad. It fails to do anything to enhance the show in terms of visuals, succeeding in little more than looking out of place and tacky.
So no.
I don't like it.

I don't hate it, but don't like it either. I'm more of a guy who thinks CGI and normal animation are better when they are separeted, not together.

Oh and,
All hail Sakaki.

I always feel... embarrassed, when I have to watch CGI animation in Pokémon. It's so bad. I think the first time was the 4th movie with that Suicune scene... *shivers*

Is Volt Tackle CGI? Because I really like the way that's animated. Move like Swift or BubbleBeam, not so much.

Volt Tackle is fine. I don't like how Swift and BubbleBeam look either.

I preferred the old BubbleBeam animation from AG, before everything changed.
There were some changes to the animations late in AG, a bit before Battle Frontier.

I actually like the CGI most of the time... BubbleBeam, Swift and the new Water Gun - all look awesome to me!

I believe it's still hand-drawn animation, with CG effects layered over it. New!Water Gun might be the same, but I haven't watched an episode in which it was used for a while.

"Gone Pixar"? Come on, that's giving them too much credit. I swear, Digimon Adventure had better CGI than Pokemon does today, and that was back in 1999.

I've only seen the CGI in the DP saga. I think it is fine overall. Sometimes the rivers and oceans look a bit weird and out of place, but I think that the attacks look great.

Well, depending on how it is used, the CGI isn't always bad. In the last few movies, the CGI has been fairly good (except for that obvious pillar fail in the 10th movie). If they are going to use more CGI in the main series, they need to find a way to smoothly integrate it into the regular animation.
