This thread is nice and simple.

Have you ever been to Disney World?

If you have been, did you enjoy it and is it all it's cracked up to be?

If you haven't been, would like to go?

Supposedly it's a child's dream come true, but it was never a dream of mine. So even though I haven't been, I'm not all that bothered/upset that I haven't.

I've been to Disney 5 times since I was 6. It really is the happiest place on earth. My favorite place ever.

I went once when I was 8 I think. Never been there since. I remember I had fun. Except one ride scared the hell out of me.

I went there, once, for a whole week last September...hoo, load of memories, and my wishes came true. I got a lot of Disney pins, and I even got my pictures taken with the various Disney princesses. In this case, there were Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Cinderella, and Rapunzel (Tangled).

We stayed at the Jazz section of the Disney All-Star Music Resort.

I've taken like 750 pictures there...had to go through two camera batteries.

I went for spring break a few years ago, it was fun.

Nope. It's been on my families "To-do" list for years but it's expensive.

I've been there multiple times. Disney does a great job with making everything authentic and is first class. (although when you've been there several times, you nitpick about the things that get on your nerves, such as long lines or rude cast members)

Been to the one in Florida. Tried to ride all the most famous rides, and was nearly drained by the end of the day I hate rollar coasters

They all would require traveling abroad. Go figure.

I wouldn't mind paying a visit sometime if I had money but not going to happen very soon.

Same here, my country is so far off from any Disney World or Disney Land that it's not worth it to go there. However, my parents went there when my dad went to the US for a company business. I would love to go there, but the expensive merchandise is off-limits to me.

Thanks for reading.

I've been to Disney World quite a few times on family vacations. Since I've gotten older and my sister has moved out, I don't think there'll be any more family vacations, and I don't plan on going back on my own. I don't think it's as great as everyone seems to think. First off, I really don't like theme parks in general because you spend most of the time waiting in long lines and hardly any time actually doing anything. But it's worse at Disney World because hardly any of the rides are all that great anyway. This wouldnt be so bad if I went during the school year when a lot of the kids wouldn't have been there, but for that to happen I would have had to miss school... and also my mom works in a school and isn't allowed to take off in the middle of the year. So anyway, occassionally I got lucky and there was a very short line. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride (one of my favourite rides) didn't even work properly though... it kept stopping in the middle of the ride. Then another problem is location... it's in Florida (well, the one I went to was at least). Which is not only bad because I don't live anywhere near Florida, but Florida itself is way too hot in my opinion (especially since mostly everything you do at Disney World is stand in line or whalk many miles around the parks) and it rains every day... which sometimes is a problem since no one wants to walk around in the rain, and sometimes they even end up cancelling shows (or delaying them) because of it. Another huge downside is that once you're in the park, they make you buy thir food and drinks. Which are way over-priced and aren't even all that great all the time.
Some good points are the water parks and they had an indoor video game arcade / simulation ride building. But still, the lines were an issue. And also, at least with the tickets I had, the water parks and that arcade had a limited number of times you could go there, whereas the actual parks were unlimited. So I don't think I could have even gone to a water park every day even if I wanted to... I certainly wouldn't have been able to go to two different water parks in the same day.

I believe I went with my family when they travelled to America on holiday, however I was a baby and as such don't remember. I'm told I was scared of a Cruella de'Ville (if that's how you say it) impersonater though, which is pretty funny.

Since then I haven't had the chance to go. However I have been to Disney Land in France, which was a lot of fun.
