Have you ever enjoyed a series more than their respective games?

For example, did you enjoy the gen 3 anime more than the gen 3 games? And likewise for the other series?

The Kalos games were mediocre at best compared to the rest of the Pokemon games, and while I don't love the Kalos anime as much as other people do its still an okay series that is better than the mediocre games.

I loved the animé more then the game

Definitely Kalos. The plot of XY was really lackluster, and the various introduced characters were equally lackluster and with little to none characteristic traits.

The anime fixed those things and gave to both things more substance.

While I'm a huge fan of Crystal (for personal reasons), I'm really curious to know in which way you think the anime has improved on the games. Are there some events in particular that you felt the anime handled better or something?

I wouldn't say the series improved on anything from the games since it's not like Johto had much to work from anyway. I just can't stand the Johto games while I found the anime series decent. Hence why I chose it.

I found the XY anime way more enjoyable than the games which were a letdown IMO (I do like most of the Gen 6 Pokemon though).

Yes, I actually liked the Diamond and Pearl anime.

Kalos was way better than the games. The Team Flare arc especially.
