If so, tell me! One time I bought a Dark Charizard, Shining Magikarp, and Blaine's Charizard on Ebay, and after 3 years they still haven't came! :ohdear: Tell me your stories!

Meh, I can't remember the last time I was ripped off on eBay. I've gotten ripped off in online trades before, but on eBay I tend to primarily buy from reputable sellers.

I have a freind that bought 5 SUPER rare cards and they were really peices or cardboard with the pictures pasted on when they came. She got her money back 'cuz she threatened to sue him for all he's got.
This is the perfect example of what went on when the package came and she got that idea.

I don't buy anything off of Ebay unless it has really good pictures, full descriptions in native-level English, and the seller has a nearly perfect history or is a reputable net shop.

I haven't been ripped off in obtaining Pokèmon(or Yu-Gi-Oh!) cards yet. I've heard way too many horror stories. In recent days, I've also resolved to never purchase a pokèmon video game under any circumstance from Ebay.

I've gotten fake cards three times and they've actually all been DP-era cards. In two of the deals, there were only a few fake cards (for example, 16 fake cards in a lot of 400+, or 80 fake cards in a lot of 600, both from parents selling their child's collection and/or dupes, so I understood).

However, in one of the lots I won, I paid $40 for 900 cards, and SIX HUNDRED OF THEM were fake. All of the fakes were from the Great Encounters set and there were tons of poorly made rares with all of the tell-tale signs of counterfeiting. I went through a whole dramatic episode with the seller and PayPal and, long story short, she got her cards back to sell to somebody else and I lost $10 altogether because I had to pay to ship the cards back to her in order to get a "full" refund. Ugh.

In other words, either buy cards from established sellers with tons of positive feedback, or take a close look at EVERY card in the seller's pictures. In the third case, some of the cards were obviously real but others weren't after I went back to look at them.

I bought a 200 card deck off ebay and it came and nothing was fake!

I was so surprised and very happy.

I'm not a moderator, but this thread is if you DID get ripped off on Ebay. If you didn't, don't post here, please.:drowsy:
