Your eyes are not deceiving you. This is the same Parastoise that was in the pokemon shipping community back when it began on UPN Forums. For those of you who don't know, I was, at one point, VP of the Official Pokeshippers.

And I have an announcement to make. I'm now engaged to ChaosRocket. For those of you who don't know, she was also around since the very beginning of the pokemon shippers community, and was the only President of Palletshippers International. I had the engagement band engraved with "ShigeSato Hime to SatoKasu Ouji." Those of you who know Japanese and our history in the shipping community of old, the words may be amusing.


We've been trying to find people from the shippers community of old to share the news with and catch up with on old times. We were hoping that you might be able to help us find these "lost shippers"

Well, I have no idea and it's a nice sentiment and all...

...But what if some of these people have moved away entirely from pokemon / anime / internet life and are now like...working a solid career at an office or something? If they were like 20 to begin with it's not an entirely unheard of thing that happens.

I was like nine or ten when I learned anything about the internet at all, and I wasn't involved with the Pokemon fandom until what I would say is fairly recently, so I can't help you there.

also I do have to lol a little bit, didn't the Palletshippers and the Pokeshippers really kinda dislike each other back then? Now I'd say things are pretty cool though, it's not like we get flames from Pokeshippers.

congratulations on your engagement, though.
 
Yeah, we had considered that some people had "got a life," as it were. And I'm certainly not hanging my hat around the pokemon community these days. But as stated in the list at the bottom of my op, there are still some people that can be reached at the same contact addresses as back in the day.

Chaos is sitting next to me right now, and she says: "Yeah, Palletshippers and Pokeshippers disliked each other the way Ash and Gary dislike each other."

I suppose that depends on one's point of view... I'd substitute Misty for Gary in that quotation. For us, friendship always trumped the shipping.

I suppose I should amend the op to say that we have tracked down Ben and Misagi.

Archaic, I was a little intrigued as to how you would respond to this news, but I guess your response really isn't all that surprising. Especially considering our (ir)relevance to the online pokemon/shipping community at present.

I wouldn't call this a grand return for me to the community, but I'm interested in updating some of the historical shipping stuff on Bulbapedia, particularly the complete history, to ensure equal bias.

And I just wanna say congrats. Again. ^^; Because I've already congradulated(sp?) Chaos-san, but I just felt like saying it again.

I am talking to you on MSN right now :p Obviously the people who are easier to track down, are the ones we already tracked down ourselves! Man I was IP banned from even viewing the forums for like, ever, apparently my IP changed or something.

Ketsuban, you and your mom should come to the wedding next summer. We totally called Misagi on the phone, it was awesome. Para called him and then after he talked to him he handed the phone to me and I was like "Can you believe we finally got together?" and he was like "I'm sort of having trouble with it" XD

Wow, it's so nice to hear about an engagement between you guys. Congratulations! That must be a wonderful feeling, especially that you both support different shippings. That pretty much proves that regardless onto what shipping you support, you can still love someone. =)

I wish you both the best of luck finding the rest of your friends. :D
