Heart Gold/Soul Silver question

Alrighty, so I have kind of a stupid question that's probably already been answered before... Heh :/

But, does anyone know if Kanto is going to be in Heart Gold/Soul Silver? I mean... My guess would be no, seeing as so far I've seen nothing about Kanto in any of the screenshots released, not to mention FireRed/LeafGreen aren't *that* old, but then again, not having Kanto would be kind of a major gap, don't cha think?
 
This should be in the HeartGold and SoulSilver thread.

To answer your question though, Kanto WILL be in HGSS, or at least part of it. It's already been confirmed in the official HGSS map that the Indigo Plateau will still be where the Elite Four will be located.

The rest of Kanto however, hasn't been confirmed yet and it's in fact a topic of much heated discussion among the fandom.

Oh and just to let you know, the original Gold and Silver were released three years after Red and Blue. If I'm doing my math right, HGSS will be released in Japan five years after FrLg

As to what I think, I don't know why Kanto wouldn't be in HGSS, it was an integral part of the story and part of the reason why GSC became such a fan favorite. Moreover, they've got alot more memory now to add alot more depth to both regions so I for one think it'll be back

To put it logically it would not be a remake if a major part of the game was removed would it? If Kanto was not in it, would it be a true remake? No, it would be a 50% Demake, meaning a demake takes a game a removes things to make it simplier, this would be half that as they have made Johot section better, and anyway according to serebii.net, mewtwo has been confirmed to be in games, and where else but Kanto would they put it?

Actually, Serebii.net thinks that Mewtwo (as well as the Lati twins) will be in HgSs, it does say that this is unconfirmed though. I expect it to be true but you never know

Well Why would they show weather trio and Jirachi and not reveal latias/os as well if they are indeed in game? Maybe they will be in game idk. I was thinking if mewtwo was in game they would have a little TR plot related to it? Actaully what happened with beserker gene? I never played the games so idk what they did.

What they did in GSC was....absolutely nothing

The Cerulian Cave collapsed prior to your arrival and when you do get there, some kid's itemfinder starts beeping. You can then go searching the water and eventually find the Berserk Gene (which works as a self induced swagger) and that's it.

If you wanted to get Mewtwo in GSC, you had to trade him from RBY
 
I'm with Todoroki. Do we need to discuss this anymore? For some reason people like to be pessimistic and doubt the obvious. We've seen the route leading to Viridian. We've seen the Magnet Train. YES KANTO IS IN! Think people. Think.

But, even as I write this, I know somewhere there's a doubter who will find some flimsy excuse to argue this.
 
Why would not Kanto be in it? We've been told that the cartridge could contain Johto, Kanto, AND Hoenn.

idk. I think some of you guys are being impatient. We haven't seen any information on Bugsy, yet. Does it mean he's not going to be in the games?

No, it's been rumored that Hoenn is in. But we aren't going there. Johto is in. Kanto is in. Hoenn.. Maybe. Enough said. End of story, good bye, the end.
 
All right... Really sorry if I sounded annoying... Wasn't trying to be. I haven't really been into Pokemon as much as I used to be for a while, and just started getting back into it a whole lot not very long ago.

Anyways, I don't want to start some sorta flame war here... So... Thanks to everyone who answered my question WITHOUT being a complete ass.
