GameObserver.com has reviewed the games and for the first time in its history has given a video game (in this case both games) a perfect score of 100%.

And I quit reading.. Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire were a disappointment to all
Ultimately, there really is no other way, so I’ll just come out here and say it: Pokémon Gold and Silver is the single greatest handheld game ever created.
Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire were a disappointment to all
Today, with merchandising that extends to an anime that is currently in its 14th season,
And yet, the quality of the games in the series is certainly suspect. While there can be no doubt that Pokémon Red/Blue were the absolute best in their time -- dwarfed only by their GBC successors that were superior in every single way -- the games have certainly gone downhill since then.
Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire were a disappointment to all,
I know reviews don't have to have phrases like "I think" in them, because we know this is the reviewer's opinion, but still... "to all"? Really? Is it even to most? =/
and Pokémon Diamond and Pearl have done little to repair the franchise’s image.
......... ?
Meanwhile, increasingly inane console titles like Pokémon Battle Revolution and Pokémon XD,
I can kinda understand PBR, but I don't see what was so inane about XD.
accompanied by horrendous spin off titles like Pokémon Dash and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, which reek of nothing but cynical attempts on Nintendo’s part to cash in on the hysteria surrounding the franchise as much as they can,
You can say the same thing about the main games. In fact, I think the remakes might be the games you can especially say that about.
There can be no two questions about it: Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver are indisputably the best looking Pokémon titles to date,
In my opinion, that's probably true for the main games.
For newcomers, these areas present tangible proof of exactly what the DS is capable of, and they make you wonder why, six years into the system’s lifespan, we are yet to see other games that can match up to what Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver provide visually.
If Dogasu were here...

Like I said, I know reviewers don't need to say things like "I think" and "in my opinion" in their reviews, but is it still credible to say things like this as a fact?
Okay, that wasn't a good review (unless it was written by my school newspaper, in which case it is god-like) but the perfect score still applies. The game is beautiful and has some very fun features.
I still don't think the features they have are enough to give the games 100%, and I've been looking forward to these remakes and am really impressed by how much new stuff has been put into them.
They're not perfect. It is as simple as that. What all do you see wrong with it? Sure there are changes, but are they really bad?
Game Freak did not go all out on HGSS, as the Generation V games will soon prove.
Gotta love the unsupported optimism.
Do you really think that the only new things will be the Pokémon and the region, and yet you're still excited about the games? I hope for your sake that that isn't true.Gotta love the unsupported optimism.
