Im halfway through my re-run of Johto and I was curious what team everyone used to beat the game.


The first time I used Typhlosion, Pidgeot, Ampharos, Gengar, Vaporeon, and Lugia(replaced Machamp).


This time I have:

Level 23 Bayleef,
Level 22 Noctowl,
Level 17 Heracross,
Level 16 Magby,
Level 20 Elekid
Level 18 Milotic.

I intend on evolving Bayleef, aswell as Magby and Elekid into Magmortar and Electivire, respectively.



Also, on a side note, do you think I'm processing well ? I am on Route 17.

Bayleaf: I say replace Cut as soon as possible. You won't really need it, even as a HM.

Noctowl: Looks good. You might want to replace Uproar with a better Normal Type move.

Heracross: Assuming your going to replace Leer with Brick Break, it looks good.

Magby: I think you should replace Smog with something else.

Elekid: I recomend that you replace Shock Wave with Thunder.

Milotic: Looks good.

I think your a bit underleveled, but with the Pokemon you have, your good.

For Noctowl Im waiting for Air Slash and Im not what other yet maybe Fly cuz Ill need a Flyer

Elekid: Probably that or Thunder Punch/ Thunderbolt

I think You can change Noctowl by an Abra... Noctowwl stats are not that good... Also, you already have one water type, which means you have one pokemon which is week vs electric type... Having two pokemons week vs the same time is never a good idea... I do play this videogames a lot... let me know if you have pokemon battle revolution... we could play... Great choice with your milotic... it is awesome... Just make sure the nature of your pokemons matches its individual stats preferences...

Oh jeez... this was so long ago...

I remember I started with Totodile, because I always start a remake with the Pokemon I first got in the originals. I used a Poliwrath, but I wasn't able to evolve it until the postgame so it was just a Poliwhirl in the main story. I used Extremespeed Dragonite, though I think it was a Dragonair when I beat Lance. I used a Fearow. I must have used a Fire-type - Arcanine, maybe? Or perhaps Magmar. I think there was a Tyranitar eventually.
