'HeartGold & SoulSilver' to be first TCG expansion of 2010: Expansion due for release Feb. 10

According to the online store Intrafin, HeartGold & SoulSilver will be the next English expansion. The set is to come with many different promotional merchandise, much like expansions released previously.

"HeartGold & SoulSilver brings many new mechanics to the Trading Card Game. Pokémon LV.X are no longer present; they are now replaced by Pokémon Prime. Also to appear are new cards reflecting the namesake of the new TCG era: Pokémon LEGEND are another new type of powerful Pokémon introduced."

February 10? I haven't followed the TCG as much as I used to, but I don't think Nintendo would publish the card set too long before the games come out. Hopefully this means the games will come out much sooner than what has been previously reported!

i prefer Great Pokémon ... Prime sorta sounds odd, though yay and bring on Arceus to Australia :p

I was thinking that too...don't the cards usually come out AFTER the game's been out for a least a month??

According to this, Lv.X Pokemon won't be in the set, being replaced with Pokemon prime. Maybe that's just a new name for Lv.X Pokemon, but I'm pretty sure they will have different rules associated with them than Lv.Xs.

I guess to keep growing as a game, the mechanics have to change. I'm sure it will get better. :D

i need to know when the prereleases are and if there are any in Connecticut usa?
