A few of my friends and I have been working on Ripping the Sprites for the two new games, would anybody like me to post them? (If this is in the wrong area, or posting Sprites is against the rules, I do apologize.)

Of course the mods get the final say, but I think you should go ahead. This should be interesting.
 
Please, if you can of course, try to get a sprite of ho-oh and meganium
 
Isn't the only way to get sprites is to rip them from the game in the first place?

So yeah I think it would be okay to rip them and share them. Unless of course there's some new rule saying you can't.
 
Maybe what Toastkun meant was they were gonna make sprites that look like the HG/SS ones?

If they are, and they're well-made, I'm good with it.

If you mean taking the sprites from the screenshots... then that'd be nice.

But the games aren't even out until this fall, so good luck with that.
 
Let me clarify.

From the new site that launched yesterday, it has a few screenshots with accurate sized sprites. The screenshots are saved in JPG with an extremely minimal amount of compression. This means that they can be extracted and cleaned to make them actual sprites. I did this with Slver's sprite and Gold's back sprite.

Well, clean ones taken from the screenshots I mean.
