Generation 9 heatran or zygaurd

Id say Zygarde all things considered. Heatran is a slow, bulky Sp ATK Tank while Zygarde... is also a hard hitting Sp ATK tank...

Both have an unfortunate 4x Weakness (Heatran's is Ground while Zygarde's is Ice) and Zygarde has one type immune to its Dragon type (Fairy)

But if we account for Megas then Zygarde loses that weakness with its upgraded Core Enforcer.

Heatran is still good however. I just think Zygarde is the better Pokemon. (I like Heatran personally more than Zygarde tho)

It depends on how you define “good” and in turn “better”. Better in competitive, better for a main playthrough, better design, or something else?
Yeah, this is a largely subjective question you're asking so more details helps.

Personally speaking, design wise I LOVE Zygarde. I find Norse Mythos to be an interesting subject, and Jormungandr/Ouroboros is like one of my favourite "things" ever, so Zygarde 50% being based on that really appeals to me. 10% and 100% being Fenrir and Hel respectively just add to the appeal to me. But Heatran is a funny froggy thingie and some people like that more.

Competitively? I'm not qualified to answer that, but I can say no one is switching their Heatran into Thousand Arrows.

Design wise I'd go with Zygarde because the 100% looks like a mecha and I think that's awesome
Competitively?? I don't have much to go off because I never used Zygarde in the formats it's availible in :sob: I do know it was a real bulky attacker that could hit flying types. I think the 50% forme was in Gen 7 OU for a bit, don't quote me on this though. Heatran however is an amazing Pokemon and has been an OU staple since its debut, it has great stats, an great typing, access to a ton of different coverage and utility options. And it was very customizable, you could use it as a wallbreaker or a bulky support mon. It's only weakness was its crippling ground type weakness and it's lack of a form of reliable recovery.
