Today a little kid who was about 5 or 6 came to my till at work with his mother. They were buying some really old Pokemon stickers we had. I like kids, so I couldn't resist striking up a conversation with the little guy about Pokemon. I asked him what his favorite Pokemon were, and he pointed out Pikachu and Charmander on the sticker sheet. I told him mine were Onix and Charizard. Part of the conversation went something like this:

kid: "I bet I know a Pokemon that you don't!"
me: "I bet you don't, but what is it?"
kid: "Jinnix!"
me: "You mean Jynx?"
kid: "Yeah...it's a Ice-...Pizzik type."
me: "You mean Psychic?"
kid: "Yeah."
 
A Shell gas station/convenience store. When the kid said "Pizzik" and I corrected him I kind of looked at his mother and smiled/laughed as if to say "What a cute kid," and she laughed back, having heard what we'd said.
 
At first glane, this topic sounds creepy.

But that little exchange was simply adorable, that would melt my cold heart away instantly.

....despite him mentioning that HORRID creature!
 
That's kind of cute. I know I was showing my little cousin (who's around the same age) Pokemon Diamond and they were asking me to tell them about the new monsters. That's not a perticularlly cute story, but whatever. :p
 
Showing a kid a next-gen game that won't be released in English for several months?

Forget Jynx! Bell02's the monster! :p
 
lol my little cousins (age 5 and 3) once ganged up on me telling me how I dont know anything about pokemon, and this is kinda how it ended up:

kids: Ya right, we're the best!!!
me: I've been watching and playing it since I was your age!!!
kids: Then whats ur favorite pokemon?
me: Kabutops
kids: Quit making stuff up phony!!! There's nothing like that in pokemon!!!

It was weird cuz everyone believed them 0_o
