Simple question. How tall are you? I'm about 6' 4".

Good question. I don't know that there is a standard, really. I, for example, am 6'3. I believe 5'8-6'5 falls into average height for a male, whereas a few of my friends find any height above 6' even to be considered tall. Personally, I find a 10-inch scale works well. That said, my two cents say...

- 5'8 - 6'5 is average for a male. Anything below 5'8 is short, anything above 6'5 is tall.

- 5' - 5'9 is average for a female. Anything below 5' is short, anything above 5'9 is tall.

But I feel so short! I have to use broom, a step stool, or otherwise climb on counters (which is actually kind of fun ) to get to certain things!

are you kidding, 6'5" is crazy tall, lol :[ I'd say 6'2 or 6'3 is about the tip of "average".

Bah. If you're anything like me, fat chance of this happening. 5' 2 1/2" if I stand up straight, but with my normal slouch, I'd say I'm about 5' 1"

Don't feel bad, I'm also 5'3'' myself and I have to either get a ladder or get someone who's taller than me to get stuff that's too high for my reach.

I also have to suffer through my family poking fun at my smallish stature(my mom and 17 year old brother are 5'8'' and 5'7'' respectively while my dad is 5'9'').

Something interesting I read one day regarding height, and teenagers:
By the age of 13, girls have reached 95% of their adult height, while boys often continue growing up into their early twenties.

In my personal opinion regarding tall, short, medium, and whatever, for females anything under 5'2" is short, 5'2"-5'7" is medium, and anyone taller than 5'7" is tall.

I was under the impression that that was still fairly tall. I'm 6'3" and I regularly get comments about it.
