My name is Patrick(My internet/game handle is Purtle) and I'm the main event coordinator for a Charity Gaming Marathon group called HiddenHeartPiece !

I've always been a big pokemon fan, and did competitive battling throughout all of generation 4 but stopped when gen 5 came out. I made youtube videos narrating battles and all that fun stuff. I knew and talked to a number of the more popular youtubers back then. I still played through the games but not competitive battling.

I use Bulbapedia all the time to learn all sorts of neat pokemon trivia. I actually use it to make a trivia game :p

We will be having a Pokemon Marathon starting this Friday at 3:00pm EST. You can check it out at HiddenHeartPiece All donations will go directly to St. Jude's Children Hospital. We have tons of incentives as well as raffle prizes!

I've been thinking about getting back into competitive 5th gen but it seems like it's completely different from 4th gen battling which I really enjoyed. I've been doing battles on pokemon showdown, but just random generated teams.

Hi, Patrick, welcome to BMGf :) Im not a huge fan of competitive battling myself, but that's alright I guess.Bulbapedia is pretty great also and I use it all the time. It's nice to meet you and I hope you have a great time here. Make sure to read the Rules before posting around and if you have any questions feel free to ask. See you around.

Bulbapedia is an amazing resource and I don't know what I'd have done without it, haha. And as for competitive battling.. it's actually really enjoyable in the fifth generation so I'd definitely recommend you try it sometime. Granted I never really battled competitively before that. 8(; Welcome and have a good time!
