Hello everyone! My name is Washingtonian and I'm pleased to meet you.
Well, that isn't going to be the only thing I'm saying in my introduction.
I became a Pokemon fan, mainly introduced through the anime in 1998. As you can see from my username, Washington is where I was from and my home state (although I didn't grow up in that state). I was the son of a US Navy Commander and I got roped to traveling around the country (several places were San Diego, Groton, Honolulu etc.) but unfortunately I never got the chance to live in Japan as he soon retired afterwards in Norfolk.
Either way, I was a lurker of the Bulbapedia before I decided to join in on the fun of the forums! Either way, nice to meet you all!

It sounds nice to travel to many different places, sorry you didnt get to go to Japan though
