I'm new here. I was trying to decide what Pokemon forums to join and I chose this one since I browse Bulbapedia often.

Lets see... I'm an older guy (25, I have no idea if that is a common age around here) and I've been playing Pokemon probably since I was 12 or 13. My first game was a rom of Blue, and my first cartridge was Silver. I chose Squirtle, Totodile, Treecko, Piplup, and I am still very unfamiliar with 5th gen (I own Black).

I guess I could be called a water trainer, though I also always have a bird on my team. It's just my thing. I also like to view Pokemon in more of a traditional rpg perspective. For example, I'd name my special attackers 'Wizard' or 'Mage'.

Anyways, that's a bit about me. I hope to have creative conversations about the concept of Pokemon in general. I currently play Platinum. I ev train sometimes.
 
Hey there, Miysticmon, welcome. Im 25 as well, you're not alone. Silver version was my first game :) I also like talking about Pokemon, and usually also have a water type and a bird Pokemon on my team. I need to play Platinum at some point, I'll get to it eventually. If you need any help, feel free to ask any questions you have and make sure to read the forum rules before posting. I hope you'll have a great time here.
 
Thanks so far everyone. Glad to know I'm not the only 25 year old water/bird trainer (and to be honest, they always give us a bird at the start so no wonder). I've been reading the rules. This is a huge place. I'm looking for interesting conversation, 4th gen trades, and friendships.
