Now, I wish you to view my profile before you read this post. However, not all of you will, so I will be repeating what is in my profile. Fine, go ahead and try to sue me.

***

Hello. I am Averon Matthews. I am twenty-one years old, and was born in Alexandria, Virginia. I lived in Alexandria for a while, maybe ten years, but then, tragedy struck. Both of my parents were shot down in their house while I was at school. When I returned, nobody came to collect me, but there were some adoption papers on the table. I called the number on the piece of letterhead at least two or three sheets into the pile. I had been accepted for adoption by a local couple in Fairfax. I gladly accepted, and began to pack my bags to leave right after my parents funeral.

So, on June 6, 1996, I was brought to my new home. Little did I know that something exciting was going to happen. When I walked through the door, I was greeted my my new father, Jacob. I asked him where my new mother was, hoping that she hadn't been killed. As it turned out, she hadn't. She was pregnant with twins. Me and my dad hopped into his Camero and drove to the hospital. We came just in time to see them being born. The first one, named Jacob, came out crying and flailing like it was having a heart attack. The second baby came out around two minutes later, and it was silent. My mother and father decided who to name it after. Jacob had been named after my father. My mom and dad both agreed. It would be Averon.

Two days later, I was really introduced to the house. I moved into the attic, which was fine with me. It was actually very comfortable. I began to attend Oak View Elementary School, which ended the next year. Then, in my seventh-grade year, I moved to Robinson High School. Finally, after much work, I was accepted into Virginia Tech. It was a bad idea. You see, not long after I cam to Tech, Cho Sueng-Hui attacked. My professor blocked the door, and most of the students escaped, but I was still trapped in the room. Cho shot the professor, and shot some other kids, before looking right at me. Before I knew it, I had taken a bullet to the groin, and another two bullets to the shoulder. I was sent to the hospital, and will never return to a collage.

In the hospital, I made the decision of a lifetime. I would join the Marines. I knew that in the Middle East, innocent people were shot much more often, and I wanted to help put a stop to it. I enlisted, and began to train as a sniper in July, including my birthday, which was on July the Fourth. Later in September, I was sent to Baghdad, and stayed for about two weeks. My leg was taken off by an RPG, and I was sent home for a prosthetic treatment for my left leg. My girlfriend continued to stay in my house, which was a small apartment in Fairfax, near the Fair Oaks mall.

Now, here I am. I plan to attack the roleplay and fanfiction sections of these forums, and aim to become a moderator sooner or later. I sometimes listen to the Bulbacast, so I know who Archaic is, the same with people like Pie or Winter. I hope that I can become well-known here, and this is my first step towards that goal.

For those who are about to post, we salute you.

Averon Matthews

lol, I'm not completely sure about how much you actually like pokemon from reading your profile, but Welcome to the forums anyways.

Lol, it's a little awkward hearing your life story in your first post (especially because usually people who post information like that are looking for hand-outs), but I can see how you want to go to the roleplay and fanfics section. You seem like you could write a novel on that. (Actually, sorry to say that I feel a little skeptical that all is true because of how you wrote it)

Anyways, Welcome to bulbagarden, and I hope you have a good time here! (Also, I hope that you do eventually get back into the video games someday, a lot has changed since red and blue) Also, good luck on trying to be a mod, you seem like you are qualified as a writer at least. Probably, I wouldn't announce that too much more though, just do great quality posts and maybe try to see if you can help with the website and you may get your chance someday.

It may not happen right away, but patience is a good thing. Just remember to stay away from mini-modding, I know that is one thing that some members who aspire to be a mod fall into, so watch out for that.

(Incase you don't know what that is, but I assume you do, it's pretending to be a mod by harassing members to fallow some sort of rules, or something or other. Just don't pretend to be a mod, I guess)

Anyways, that's more than long enough, so Welcome :-D

Wow. That's some life story. I... I'm speechless. It doesn't happen very often, but I am. Welcome to BMG. Hope you enjoy your time here.

I haven't really been around over here much, but welcome anyways. I hope you have a good time over here.

It must've been tough... But what you are doing is something impressive and really admirable. (to clarify, I mean the whole joining the Marines and deciding to help the innocents and such. I've thought about something like that many times but I doubt I'd do so...)

You also seem like you'll be a much better member than the usual I see on internet boards (as good members). I don't know much how things over here are but I guess that if you just remain active enough you'll probably become a moderator and all that.

So yeah... Welcome to the board, have fun.

(Also congratulations or something for the wedding...)

Er...I really don't know what drove you to give us your life story, but still, welcome.

My, what an eloquent writer.

I must admit you're much more verbose than the average member that waltzes in here on a daily basis, I really felt trapped in your personal tale and sense of struggle that you've endured through most of your lifetime. To most forum goers, your story is quite intense especially upon first glance but I can assert that your story does hold to its grain. I may live in Maryland, but I love to visit Virginia all the time and I'm relatively familiar with the places you've mentioned. Its always neat to have someone local, or at least in your case, sometimes local.

I heard rumors of a few survivors among the VA Tech crowd at our campus via word of mouth as the whole thing progressed. At least you safely made it out of the VA Tech incident but I'll defer from that for now if you so choose not to speak of it.

I'm sure your prose will be well accepted, and generally appreciated throughout the community. I happily welcome you and much at the same time, appreciate your efforts for defending our country. Thank you.

Wait, your parents named your brother after you? They had two kids with the same name? *Raises an eyebrow*

After reading your location and the various places (depending on the time) that you were born in, I have to say... you have a very vivid imagination. Interesting background story you have chosen for yourself... have fun and I hope you put this imagination to good use while writing about pokemon.
