Well, I'm Bugkiss, and I have a long story of how I came about here.
Back when I was six years old (or at least I think I was six at that point in time), I was sitting on my couch on a Saturday morning, channel flipping wildly fast, when I came upon a weird cartoon about a strange little creature hatching from a strangely decorated egg. It was the episode "Who Gets to Keep Togepi?" and since that day I had begun watching it daily, and Togepi has been one of my favorite Pokemon since.
A few months later the Pokemon movoe was released, and a friend of mine had invited me to go and see it for his birthday. While I was there, another kid had given me two trading cards: a Lightning Energy and Wigglytuff. I had no clue what purpose they served at that time, until Christmas came. I had gotten several packs of Pokemon trading cards, just enough to figure out how to play and make a deck. Then I went crazy, getting packs as often as I possibly could, and now I have a collection of over 1000 cards.
For a long time I played the tcg with friends and watched the show. Then a couple years later my friend called up, saying his sister had gotten some weird looking Pokemon cards, and asked me if I could tell if they were fake (it's instinct; I come from a long line of collectors). Well, were the cards fake? At the time I thought they were, until I saw the packs at many hobby stores. They were the cards from E: Expedition, and I had a good amount myself after a month or so. I then began begging and pleading for a GBA with an e-reader. Christmas, and I got just that, along with Sapphire version. Before that, my parents had been totally anti-video games. To this day I still don't know what made them decide against the rule they held for so long (3/4 of my life).
I completed Sapphire, got a used copy of Gold, and yada yada yada... eventually I just stopped. Came to complete halt, and didn't touch my Pokemon stuff for a year or so.
Until several months ago, when my mother informed me that we were going to have a garage sale (coming next month) and asked if I wanted to sell any of my Pokemon stuff. I pulled out my unorganized, dusty shoebox of cards and pulled out any multiples and kept them aside, so I could sell them. Then I restarted every Pokemon game I own from the time you get to choose a starter, and now I'm more of an addict than ever before.
There's my life story. I hope I didn't put you all to sleep. I tend to do that somewhat often.
