Hello, I'm Squid! I played Pokemon Blue when I was a kid (it came out when I was about 10 or 11 years old), and was a huge fan at the time. Watched the anime, bought the manga, played the extra games like Pokemon Snap, Stadium, even that weird Pokemon Puzzle game on the N64 that I can't remember the name of. I played Silver a little bit when it came out, but I hadn't played any Pokemon games since till I got my 3DS in Feb. Picked up Y, and WOW I love it! Mixture of nostalgia and excitement from discovering new Pokemon, plus how much they've developed the game since I last played has made it a brilliant experience. So the huge Poke-fan in me has awoken. Thought I'd seek out like-minded folks! I love art a whole bunch, and I see that there's a little area of this forum dedicated to that, so I will probably be hanging out there a lot. Anyway, hope to meet some cool folks here and have some fun!
 
Daamn, kinda makes me wish I'd jumped back in once this gen was released.

Y does indeed have a mixture of nostalgia and new things, which I think makes it a great game, especially for people returning to Pokemon after a long time. I enjoy it. If you need any help, feel free to ask any questions you have. I hope you enjoy the forums.
