It appears I joined quite a while ago, but then never really posted much, so I thought it would be appropriate to say hi since I might as well be brand new here. I've been editing on Bulbapedia for a while (I wrote a number of episode synopsis that needed filling in for one), and I thought it would be good to actually stop by the forums and chat with people.
One question for anyone who might know: How does Bulbapedia calculate the percentage chances of encountering different Pokemon in different places? Is it in the official guide? Because I noticed that this time around they only have vague words instead of numbers. If anyone would like, I've set up an Excel spreadsheet that allows me to keep track of how many Pokemon I encounter and automatically calculates the percentages based on the inputted data. If anyone would like to assist me, the calculations can only get more accurate as more encounters are inputted. Just keep in mind that I've only set it up for Pokemon X.
Also, is it really true that the different colored flowers in Gen 6 change either the encounter chances or what Pokemon show up entirely? I haven't seen any concrete evidence for this yet, and submitting that question to Reddit turned up nothing. I just see sites like Bulbapedia and Serebii split them into separate categories, yet they list the exact same Pokemon.
