My name is Patrick and I run the Video Game Old School! I'm new to the forums, but I've used Bulbapedia before.

Bulbapedia is by far the most comprehensive source of Pokémon information out there, I've found and it's nice to meet some of you who've contributed to that wealth of info!

I like a lot of other games and Gen 1 is my favorite era of Pokémon.
 
Welcome! Generation 1 was a good gen, although my favorite is Hoenn. I hope you like it here.

I'm playing through the Gen 1 games again after so long for a LP series, it's kinda refreshing to go back to it after so much time. I find that my favorite Pokémon are a bit based on effectiveness, design and sometimes whimsical things. Based on what I've played so far and where I'm at:

Drowzee (whimsy - his noise he makes when summoned)
Rattata (see the avatar - when colored looks really cool, plus is always a workhorse for me).
Beedrill (just looks like a badmotorscooter)
Charmeleon (attack and I have a funny nickname for him)


and I'm glad my avatar could generate some nostalgia! Thanks again for the welcome everyone!

Do you think you could share that funny nickname with us?
 
I take it from an 80s pop song so I start singing Charma Charma Charma Charma Charma Charmeleonnnnnn. It won't fit in the nickname spot, but I sing it everytime.
