Hey everyone :) I'm new *sucks at introductions*

Some of you may recognise me from SPPF (yeah, yeah, I know... :\); so, erm, hi! ^_^;

Erm, just a quick question though: Why isn't the "(In)complete 'Shippers List" thread working for me? I've tried to access it a few times (this was before I registered, by the way) but my Browser would freeze and I'd get the "This program is not responding" message and I'd be forced to close it down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ^_^
 
Hi there, Chara! ^^ Welcome to BMGf. This was the first Pokemon community I ever joined, back in 2003 even before SPPf, but I've been MIA from both for forever. We may not be as active as SPPf, but the environment here has always seemed a lot friendlier and close-knit.

By the way, Charizards are totally awesome! I love them. ^-^ I even have a female Charmeleon on Pokemon Leaf Green, which I recently acquired. I can't wait until she evolves, but even now, she's an awesome Pokemon! Hehe.

And about the Incomplete Shippers List, that's really weird that your browser would freeze trying to load it. Try loading it again now that you're registered. It was most likely just a fluke. The thread works for me just fine. =X

Anyway, once again, welcome to BMGf and I hope you have a good time! ^.^

Yeah, I've been lurking for a while, so I've noticed ^_^ I don't mind if it's slower, it's one of the reasons I decided to join (plus the friendlier community :)) Thanks for the welcome! :D


Charmander was the first Pokemon I ever saw, and it was my fave for a while, then Charizard became my fave. The Charmander line owns.


Yeah, I'll have to try it again. My computer's abit finicky, though... *glares at it*

Is it slower here? This place has always seemed faster to me because there's less traffic or something. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, once again, hope you like it here and manage to keep yourself entertained.

I think by "slower," she means that the response time on threads isn't as quick, due to there not being as many active members. It can be both a blessing and a curse, if you think about it in different ways. xD

And there's a short comic in my comix thread I did about Ash and his Charizard (it's the second one). I just want you to know that no charizards were hurt during the making of this comic. :eek:

Other than that my experience with Charizards is next to nothing. :p I didn't even choose Charmander as a starter until I got Leaf Green (that was after I had already played Red, Blue, Yellow, and FireRed xD). It's not that I hate them. I just have never been a big fan of the fire starters. :p
 
Ohhhh, yeah, duh! XD I'm not too quick on the uptake sometimes.

I noticed in Leaf Green that Charmander learns a steel move now, which REALLY comes in handy against Brock. When he took out my Butterfree, I was really worried, but then my Charmander owned with the Steel move. I couldn't believe it.

Yup, that's what I meant by "slower", which is a good thing in my opinion :)(less lag, less n00bs, etc)

I've almost always chosen the Fire starters, except in my 2nd platthrough of Crystal (I chose Chikorita instead), in Sapphire and Emerald (chose either Treecko or Mudkip) and Diamond (chose Turtwig). I'm going to restart FireRed and choose Bulbasaur after I get the National Pokedex in Diamond and transfer my Pokemon and my best Items (Master Balls, Leftovers, etc) so I can get Entei, then I'll do the same again, but choose Squirtle instead so I can get Raikou.

EDIT: Just read the comic, poor Charizard! XD
 
Yes, newbie, there are people around here. We have other things to do.

EDIT: Please forgive me for being rude. Welcome Chara the Charizard! I hope you will enjoy Bulbagarden. Most of us are decent people who will never flame and welcome opinions contrary to what we believe. We are a cut above most Pokemon sites.

I was new here about a month ago, but have never really had the chance to introduce myself. I didn't even know this thread existed, but I'm glad it does. It's a nice place to introduce myself once. I still don't know much about the forum, though it is rather nice and friendly. 'The "Hall of Shame" is quite a kicker, really don't want to end up there' There are quite a few threads here that I have the need to check up on every day. Most people have already posted hundreds of replies to topics, I'm kinda slow, but anyway my name is Red. It's nice to meet you.

It's not a requirement. I posted over 800 times before I introduced myself. Archaic had many thousands before he introduced himself.

Introductions are pure whimsy. What matters is the quality of your posts.
