Hello to everyone from the Muk Master. I recently felt myself wanting to play pokemon again so after a little surfing around I decided I might as well join a forum too which brought me here. I am wondering though, if I decide to get a new pokemon game, which one should I get?

The last game I played was actually Black I think, but I'm not worried about going in order as much as I just want to make sure I get the best available for right now. Also do the games play just as good on a 2DS as a 3DS?

Welcome to the forums.

I essentially went in this said order;

PKM Diamond -> PKM Platinum -> PKM Black -> PKM Black 2 (Never Finished and Stopped Playing at Gym 4) -> PKM Omega Ruby -> CURRENTLY on PKM Ultra Sun.

I'd reccomend you play X/Y, Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, Sun/Moon, USun/UMoon. The 3DS Era is a great era of Pokemon games.

Welcome we’re glad to have you here!

I think it depends on what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for something in the beauty side then go with XY.

If you feel nostalgic and want something like contests in the side then go with ORAS.

And if you feel like story driven a bit harder difficulty then Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon are the way to go.

As for running on 2ds or 3ds- it depends on how old the system is. The older systems have more trouble running the Gen VII games than newer systems. Though Gen VII has lag issues in general with battles that are more than single. Other than that there is no difference between 2ds and 3ds.

And once you’ve decided then feel free to pop by the Pokémon video games section if you want to talk about the games with others :)
