[HELP] Am I EV training right?

Okay, so I wanted to train my Aron (eventually an Aggron) with the following EVs:
252 HP
252 Attack
6 Speed

I battled 6 Poliwags, 50 Woopers with the power weights (and then used Exp. Share for the other 2 EVs), and then around 50 Goldeen with the power bracers (and Exp. Share once again). My EVs should be maxed out, but apparently I have tons more EVs left, and I can't get the ribbon from the lady at Blackthorn. What am I doing wrong? btw my Aron is Lvl. 20 right now.

My game is Soulsilver btw.

Uh...Why are you using an Exp. Share? Don't you mean a Macho Brace? Macho Brace is the one that doubles EVs, not Exp. Share. Assuming that you messed up and really did use and Exp. Share instead, and the rest of your numbers are accurate, that would mean that you're probably at 251 for HP and Atk. Try battling one more Wooper and Goldeen without any special items or what not, and then try talking to the Effort Lady again.
