Tyranitar (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk/88 Spd/168 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Counter
- Crunch
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock
---
sets SR and screws with a good number of common leads. getting two kills right off the bat isnt uncommon at all, with so many people going for a scizor u-turn right after their azelf lead falls. enough speed to beat skarmory and bulky scizor, with the other EVs just maximizing damage potential.

while this is awesome, its not always the best fit for this team. once my moveset is figured out, evil pokemon like salamence and even EMPOLEON get to setup for free, which my team does not enjoy.

Heatran (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Overheat
---
counters scizor, and generally owns stuff. specs overheat is absolutely ridiculous, doing upwards of 80% to most salamence. considering going with scarf instead to cover my awful lucario weakness, but specs is almost too good to pass up...

Latias (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Trick
---

the most dependable special attacker ive used this gen. awesome counter to so many top threats, notably infernape which annoys the rest of the team. i try to keep this alive as long as possible, as trick screws over lategame stat boosters. a true gangster.

Azelf @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Explosion
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
- Psychic
---

thankfully people have become enamored with sash azelf leads, because this set is hell to face. i usually bring this out early/mid battle to do as much damage as i can, then switch out until late in the game. people tend to be play more cautiously with their azelf counters once they see it, which i'll gladly take advantage of. grass knot is for tyranitar thinking this is a just a free switch.

Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 60 HP/252 Atk/196 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Thunderpunch
---

my lategame sweeper, and a decent check for salamence trying to outrage my face off. i tend to keep this hidden until its ready to sweep, or if the aforementioned salamence is locked in outrage.

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
---

keeps pressure on the opponent, and puts the hurt on stall teams. max speed because i cant afford to be switching this out often, and i'd rather not lose to other mence. this is the closest thing to a lucario counter on this team, sadly.

---

so this team has been really successful, but has a handful of glaring weaknesses that need to be patched up. first up is lucario, who can get an SD in if latias is locked in the wrong move, and then kills everything if salamence is around 50%. thankfully it cant set up on anything else, and heatran can scare it out if they havent figured its specs yet. much more scary is agility petaya empoleon, who can potentially ohko my whole team, and also gets to set up on latias. there's absolutely nothing i can do to stop it other than hoping metagross survives, or dodging a hydro pump.

so, who want to lose with me?

Why would you have a Sand Stream team that includes three Pokemon who take damage from Sandstorm?

Tyranitar's sandstorm set up really messes up Mence a lot with Stealth Rock, Life Orb recoil, and switch in damage doesn't help Salamence much. =\ I suggest this:

Lucario @ Focus Sash
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Lonely
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Counter
- Crunch
- ExtremeSpeed
- Close Combat

Although, it doesn't set up SR, but it does uses Counter better IMO, and is more suitable for your team. ExtremeSpeed is the gold of this set, destroying Sash attempts, and his Inner Focus blocks Fake Out, and he is resistant to sandstorm.

Scarf this please. ;D Although, you can do support Tran so you have something to set up Stealth Rock.

Now, I suggest Nasty Plot>>Explosion, helps Azelf sweep better, and even 3HKOs Blissey. Helps ensure a OHKO on Tyranitar after a NP, so it foils their chances of Pursuiting you.

Ah, your using the new MixMence. =D Although, if you keep Tyranitar, use Roost>>Outrage, because sandstorm destroys this thing. D=
