Help in SoulSilver.

I'm playing the Japanese version(obviously), but I'm having trouble getting to the second gym because this guy keeps stopping me and pushing me back. I've talked around and tried to do everything I can think of in the area available. Do you guys know to get past this guy?

I think this should go to the Heartgold and Soulsilver thread. I reaaly don't know, isn't there a scientist in the poke center?

Huh. It depends on where you are. If you are in Violet, then you need to go to the POKE MART and get the egg from the scientist. If in Azalea town, you need to talk to Kurt and then beat TR.

And people wonder why I don't approve of importing...

You nailed it right on the head Ryuutakesh. The only reason I'm playing this is because I thought I would remember enough of the originals to not hit a speed bump, but I did already. Thanks for the help though. Sorry I posted in the wrong area.

I knew two months ago that people would hit speed bumps. It was already apparent the games were more than simple remakes.
