Okay, so I just had my school mock exams, didn't really do too well in them but did well enough to win a prize. So now I get $65 (NZ) to spend on books which I will be given at the Senior Prize Giving next week.
I have to go with the rest of the prize winners to the book store on tuesday, and I should be able to get 2 books with this money, but which ones? There's nothing I can think of so if anyone has read something good lately that you could recommend to me I would greatly appreciate it.

Umm, the last book I read was Good Omens by Neil Gaiman. It was hilarious, a bit sci-fi, but it mocks religion a ton, so if you'd be offended of something by that nature, then maybe forget it.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card is an excellent book, if I'm going to recommend anything. :D I'm too lazy to make a list, though. If all else fails, look for the recommended reading sections in the book store while you're there.

And congrats on your prize!

Thanks I'll definately check that one out. Mocking religion won't bother me at all (I see it as a bonus) so that sounds cool.
Hopefully the book store will have at least one of those. I don't think I'll have time to order them in if they don't but I will try and scout them out.
Cheers

Just look for books that relate to the subjects in which you did well in the mocks. Haha I did terrible in my mocks, lol.

Haha, well I thought I did too. I don't want to get books for school lol. Only two weeks to go before the real thing. Get studying Blaah!!

Oh true. Yeah, I gotta study. But I have to get my art design folio out of the way first... -_-

If you are into fantasy, the Dylan and Parno books by Violet Mallan are pretty good, or the Sword of Truth series.

Cheers man, I'll look into it. I'm going down tomorrow, and last time I was in the store there was a pretty decent section for fantasy, so should be good
