Ok, I just made a pokemon forum on proboards: http//charmanderman.proboards93.com and I seriously need some tips on sprucing up the website. Can anyone help?

First of all, the hover-light gimmick over the forums is annoying IMO and I'd suggest you disable it.

The colors, bright pink and bright bright green? You need things two main colors that go along well and aren't a strain to look at. Any other colors should be close to the two dominate colors you pick, but a brighter/darker version of it.

You have a good number of forums, some people go wayyyy overboard. Considering your forum is new, I suggest not making anymore unless you see it absolutley nessesary.

You might want to replace the folders with a pokemon gif about the same size. A pokeball, or something less cliché that fits in with the colors.

Also a good banner is important, and will likely reflect on who'd consider signing up on the forums. In your case I suggest going with something simple that looks nice, unless you really think you can get a good complex banner.

But start with the colors, this scheme has got to go.

Do you have a theme? (That goes deeper than generally pokemon, but like how Bulbagarden's is generally Erika, for example)

I'm trying to go for a sort of Psychic theme so I suppose a sort of Sabrina/Anabel thing would be great!

If you are going for Psychic... For Sabrina, I'd use darker purples for the colors and would keep the lines of pokemon to the Abra family.

For Anabel, you have more options.. I'd go with lavender and medium to light purples. And probably use darker blushish purple text. For pokemon, I'd be able to use Latias, Latios, Abra, and Metagross themes.

I think you could try to mix them though... but I'd keep anabel's color scheme.
