Help meh. [to people who build computers]

I wasn't very sure where to put this, so If it's in the wrong place I am very sorry.

This is a bit of a noob-ish question, but are there any Graphics Cards that are both good and cheap?
I'm planning to build a new PC at some point this year- and It'll be used mostly for gaming.

So gaiz, anyone know any cheap but good graphics cards?

Where to start, firstly I need more info on what type of thing it will be doing, a price range. I would recommend looking here and maybe asking on the forums,(I'm a member and its a helpful place for all tech things, and at a plus its a UK site.)

Nvidia 8800gt is a cheap graphics card which can run most games at medium quality.

If your motherboard can handle SLI then use two and not just one.
