Can I have some advice? There's no real reason for this deck as regards to countering things in my area, but I just like status effects. See what you think?

I know it's not tournament legal - but I am in the process of adapting the trainers so it is.

24 Pokemon

2x Budew (Sf) - allows search for pokes and improves Roselia's attack if evolved from Budew: Means attack causes sleep and poison

2x Roselia (Sf) - causes sleep and poison and attack allows to deal 30 damage to bench pokemon

1x Roserade (Sf) - Everytime damage is dealt the pokemon becomes poisoned

2x Drifloon (LA)
1x Drifblim (Sf) - Allows to search for basic pokes and discard pile for free. Ominous wind causes confusion and no retreat

2x Crobat G - Poke-power causes poison

1x Uxie LA - For draw

3x Wurmple (Pl)
1x Silcoon (Pl)
1x Cascoon (Pl)
1x Beautifly (Pl) - Can cause sleep, burn and poison

1x Dustox (Pl) - Can cause burn and sleep - also prevents all attacks, inc damage, if opponent has 2 status effects

2x Combee (Sf)
1x Vespiquen (Sf) - Can cause burn, paralyze and poison

2x Venonat (SW)
1x Venomoth (SW) - Causes sleep and poison on attack

Stadium x 3

2x Miasma Valley (Pl) - To counter all other types except grass/poison

1x Galactic HQ (Pl) - 2 damage counters for evolved pokes - counter evolved fire

Trainer x 9

2x Prof. Elm's Training Method(EX:DF)
2x Dusk Ball (MD)
1x Masterball (EX:pK)
1x Prof Birch (EX:pK
2x Energy Gain (Pl)
1x Luxury Ball (Sf)

Supporter x 9
1x Team Galactic's Mars (SW)
2x Rosanne's Research (SW)
2x Rival (SW)
2x Bebe's Search (SW)
2x Buck's Training (LA)

Energy x 15
10 x Grass Energy
5 x Psychic Energy

I'll start off with the trainer line. It's simple to make a good trainer line for a deck like this (they pretty much all look the same), so I'll endeavor to make a solid one.

4x Bebe's Search
4x Roseanne's Research
4x Professor Oak's Visit or Volkner's Philosophy
2x Professor Rowan
4x Dusk Ball
4x Great Ball
1x Luxury Ball
2x Switch
2x Miasma Valley
1x Night Maintenance

This alone will make this deck far more solid and consistent. Now, I'll move on to the Pokes. First off, I assume you don't have Claydol since you're not using him. There's another (thriftier) way! You need to add in a 2-2 Porygon2 GE line. No Porygon-Z. Just 2 Porygon and 2 Porygon2. Read its Power and you'll understand why it's almost as effective as Claydol. Here's a solid Pokes line for a deck based around status effects:

4x Combee (doesn't really matter which...)
4x Vespiquen SF
2x Venonat SW
2x Venomoth SW
2x Skuntank G
2x Crobat G
1x Uxie LA
2x Porygon2 GE
2x Porygon GE

Hope this helps. You're running too many Pokemon evolution lines in there, which slims down consistency. This is a far better line to use. Fill the rest of the deck with Grass energies.

I disagree with Politoed666. Sure Vespiquen can cause burn, paralyze and poison, but it's flippy. To get all three special condistions on the defending pokemon you have to flip two coins and both of them have to be heads. You may not always get two heads. I would try Beautifly PL. Sure he is a stage 2, but he can hit for 60 and cause three special condistions sleep, burn and poison for 4 energy without a coin flip. Heres a pokemon line that you could try out:

3 Budew SF

3 Roselia SF

3 Roserade SF

3 Wurmple PL

2 Silcoon PL

3 Beautifly PL

3 Darkrai G RR (Darkrai G RR has a poke-body that inflicts 1 damage counter inbetween turns on the defendng pokemon whenever the its asleep and The body is also stackable. So with three Darkrai G on the bench and the defending pokemon aflicted with poison and sleep condistions. He will get 4 damage counters inbetween turns.)

1 Uxie LA

2 Porygon GE

2 Porygon2 GE

Also put in 3 or 4 Rare Candies if you try Beautifly PL. you could also put in 3 or 4 Memory Berry, so your Roserade can use Roselia's 2nd attack.

Ideally I want to keep Beautifly mainly because it's 3 status and 60 damage is so hardcore. Problem is I only have 1 at the moment. That's the reason I've got so many lines, because I don't have 4 of any specific rare. I have 3 sceptiles (2 Sf & 1 GE) that I usually play. But I'm trying to move away from it because I like bugs. I'll take on the advice and I'll edit my deck so you can have a look.

I haven't got any rare candies or Porygon either... I never bought anything from the GE set. It just passed me by completely...

I've reworked it - see what you think.

Pokemon: 21

3x Treecko (SF)
2x Grovyle (SF)
3x Sceptile (2x GE) (1x SF)

3x Wurmple (P)
2x Silcoon (P)
3x Beautifly (P)

1x Grimer (P)
1x Muk (P)

1x Uxie (LA)
2x Skuntank G (P)

Trainer: 14

4x Dusk Ball
4x rare candy
2x Night maintenance
2x Double full heal
2x Gust of wind (It's the old base set one - please suggest a card that does the same thing)

Supporter: 8

3x Bebes Search
3x Bucks Training
2x Rosanne's research

Stadium: 2

2x Miasma Valley

Energy: 15

10x Grass energy
5x Psychic Energy

It looks better... however, try running several Broken Time-Space, from Platinum. It can really speed up the deck. Then again, without any drawing support aside from 1x Uxie, you might find yourself with a decent setup but without any hand... it's iffy.

What do you recommend? Chucking out the full heals and adding in some new trainer draws? Professor Rowan (SW) or Rival or something like that?

What card from the DP set allows me to switch my oponents pokes?

im not expirenced playing in modifyed format, so this is kind of hard for me :embarass:

i say
-2 buck's training
+2 team galactic's mars
in my oppinion, its a better card, since you remove a card from your opponents hand.

why is the muk line included? it just adds another type to to your deck, i say take it out and make this a single type deck, and add more trainers, like plus power, to make up for taking out bucks training, or whatever:conangry:
