Hey guys, I need some help with my Gliscor...

Should I teach my Gliscor 'Giga Impact'?

It is level 69 and it knows:

Poison Jap
Fire Fang
X-Scissor
Guilltione (I'm not gonna make it forget 'cause it's important
and I used PP ups on it)

I'm trying to figure out that if I should teach it 'Giga Impact', if not 'Giga Impact', then maybe I should teach it Hyper Beam.

What do you guys think?

Guillotine, Giga Impact and Hyper Beam are all terrible moves. Thunderfang or Ice Fang would be more useful to you in the long run. Also, Earthquake says hi.

And I think this can go in the Simple Questions thread

Hey, they all aren't terrible moves >_< I sometimes replace Fire Fang with the other Fang attacks but Guillotine helped me out loads of times :p I think I should teach my Gliscor Stone Edge...

Giga Impact and Hyper Beam are the same move, just relying on different stats. Not needed. Guillotine is OHKO and has terrible accuracy. So competitively, they are bad moves. Actually most people competitively don't allow OHKO's.

For Gliscor, yes, on average it is, but it still isn't that great a move anyways.

Well you don't know my strategy on how I'm using my Gliscor, I'm still gonna keep Guillotine ;p After all, I did defeat Cynthia's last Pokemon (Togekiss) by using it ;p

Well, right now I'm tryin' to figure out if I should teach my Gliscor Stone Edge.....

1. Don't double post.
2. That was luck then.
3. EARTHQUAKE! It gets STAB off that. It gets nothing from Stone Edge.

Whups, sorry that I double posted  Yeah, I think I'll teach it Earthquake instead of Stone Edge. I was thinking that, after all it is better and it'll be stronger against Fire-Type Pokemon....

EQ and Stone Edge should go together (they provide good coverage). Ditch Poison Jab (it doesn't provide good coverage).

You could teach it Swords Dance, tech it EQ for sure, Roost to brush off attacks, and Aerial Ace or Stone Edge for filler.

That's just my idea of a good Gliscor moveset.

Dig's not so bad for gliscor because(oddly) even while underground he is STILL immune to earthquake and other ground moves.

but it's not as strong as EQ, and the opponent can safley switch to a counter

Gliscor used dig!
Aggron used metal burst!
It missed.
Enemy sent out articuno!
Gliscor used dig!
It has no effect...

Yeah.. Try to prevent move like Fly and Dig in "real" battle..
