Help with Wi-Fi Connection

I need help obtaining information for my DS Wi-Fi settings. I'm able to get the SSID info, but I'm having difficulty obtaining the WEP Key. People say you just need the router password, but apparently that's not it, because I've typed it in, and it gives me this:

Error Message: 52000 Unable to obtain a IP address. Move within range of the access point or check DHCP settings.

I'm always in range, considering the fact that I'm only three feet away from the router, and it's hooked up to the Internet and everything....

And the customer support on Nintendo.com was a piece of junk, so that can't help me either. If anyone can help me with this dilemma, please respond as soon as possible!

what exactly are you trying to do? if it's connecting to wifi on pokemon platinum that's your problem, its just because the server's full.
