Heracross, Pinsir, event distribution announced for US: Will be available Aug. 13 until Sept. 17

The movesets and natures have now been announced for the event distributions. Two event distributions have been announced for the US. Serial codes for Pinsirite and Heracronite will be available at participating GameStop stores from Aug. 18 until Aug. 31. Heracross and Pinsir will be distributed via Mystery Gift from Aug. 13 until Sept. 17.

What's the point of distributing the mega stones apart from the pokemon? What reason could there possibly be for not just sticking a certain mega stone on heracross and pinsir instead of needlessly complicating things? What a clusterfucked event this is.

I'm guessing they're trying to get you to go into Gamestop.

Will I have to buy anything to get the serial code from GameStop?

Re: Heracross, Pinsir, event distribution announced for US: Will be available Aug. 13

What is the POINT of this event? To get people to pre-order Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire while picking up their stone? If they are doing that, than it is a good ploy; but why not give us a REAL event like Diancie or even freaking Volcanion or AZ's Floette? I'm tired of "normal" Pokemon events, especially all the Vivillon; their gimmick gets old after a while.

Does anyone know if it'll be possible to get both pokémon? I was planning to get X eventually anyway, but if getting both is possible I'd be more inclined to get it now even if it means Heracross is forced to chill in the box until I have enough badges to use an L50 reliably.

Of course. You can only get one per game, but if you have two games you can get both (as long as they are different versions).

It's a bit stupid not to simply distribute it with the pokémon, not least because they did that with Charizard

Here's hoping it comes to the european gamers.

EDIT - My mistake, they are. These codes are just ... irritating. When I went to get my Charizard from GAME the staff didn't really know how the damn thing was supposed to work

Sweet! I hope I can convince them to take my money (hee hee).

I went to my local Gamestop last night to get the serial codes, but apparently a lot of Gamestops haven't received them yet. :( I still pre-ordered my Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, though, while I was there.

Re: Heracross, Pinsir, event distribution announced for US: Will be available Aug. 13

If the purpose of the GameStop visit was to convince you to pre-order ORAS, the folks at my store did a piss-poor job of doing that. Literally nobody mentioned the games at all, hahaha.

But whatevs, got my two gifts. :)

Re: Heracross, Pinsir, event distribution announced for US: Will be available Aug. 13

A full 4 days since the serial codes were to begin distributing and my local Gamestop have yet to receive any. I still have a few more in my area but I don't feel like going to them. Its only a Mega stone and the Pokemon makes breeding a bit easier.

Re: Heracross, Pinsir, event distribution announced for US: Will be available Aug. 13

I got mine yesterday. The posters in the Gamestop were contradictory, one said you needed to preorder ORAS to get it, while another said no purchase necessary. I talked to the employee and said you didn't need a preorder, but he asked me if I was going to.

It's pretty clear that it's a ploy to get you to preorder ORAS, but you don't actually have to do it.

Well, I got a female Pinsir so I can probably pass down Cherish Balls. Good event in all, but I'm still waiting for Diancie, Arceus, Mew events.

Finally got my Heracronite! One more Mega down.

They're all female, and Cherish Balls don't pass down.
