I've been a pokemon fan since Red and Blue and have followed it ever since. I am extremely excited about the upcoming Black and White games. But...the way things have been going...how long do you think it will be before they make a Pokemon Gray?
It seems like they build up all this hype about the new games and then split the interesting things down the center.
With Black and White, they have already been starting the version exclusives, and not just in Pokemon that you can catch, but also in towns you can visit.
I know that I am going to buy White because I like Zekrom very much...but I'd like to go to the Black City. Plus, it wouldn't be a Pokemon game with out a 3rd Uber Legendary that gets mentioned or just pops up in the new generation and then gets it's own spin off that is a combination and slight improvement of the two.
:banghead:
So...How long do you think it will take until they make a Gray? (And do you think that an Upgraded Ruby and Upgraded Sapphire would come first...:uhoh: )

I have no idea, but no matter what comes next, it will get the full benefit of 3DS. There is already a lot of the illusion of depth in these games anyway, so to have actual 3D could be mind boggling for this. We'll have to see the third legend if there is one to really tell, although that may not be a good indication. Giratina didn't make me think platinum when it was first revealed. (Then again, I was a heavy advocate of it not being the third dragon, and I was proven wrong on that too)

UMM im gonna say say 1 year for grey and then another year for ruby and sapphire remakes.

idk how grey would work with b/w having version exclusive places but im sure they can do something and i do do think a r/s/e remake will come and maybe another return of kanto! :kawaii:

Well, when it does go full 3ds...that's when I'll stop playing them.
It does sound awesome and all, but I bought the ds to play pokemon and hoped that I would find more interesting ds games to play. I have like 5 ds games that aren't pokemon. :/

"another return of kanto!" . . . Oi. The only way I'd ever buy a re-make of a game that has been re-made is if it included every pokemon in it and every quest with all of "you must go to an event" pokemon already in it. So...that'll never happen unless they become desperate.

There are many great DS games, outside of those from the Pokemon franchise. Regardless, you're pretty lucky we're getting three different Pokemon adventures (DPPt, HGSS, BW) on the DS alone.

I think maybe in the third version the version exclusive places will alternate every week os something. Either that or... There won't be a third version! *gasp* And i think it will be about two or three years until they release their next game after B/W.

i have to agree with you to some extent. i think event pokemon shouldnt be available only through events... making it title event pokemon proves it useless if they are not available through events but regardless, i do agree with you. also i think that also i think evolutions and pre-evolutions introduced in generations after 1 shouldnt be pretty much banned until you beat the champion, which i find really dumb in firered and leafgreen

EDIT: also it would be nice to have the same in the r/s/e remake but the same problem were in hg/ss but it felt somewhat different than a game firered and leafgreen

We already have a thread for a third version, and a STICKIED thread for RS remakes.
