(Because I couldn't think up a better title for this thread. Any suggestions are encouraged and accepted)

Anyway, with Season 2 of Heroes fast approaching, I thought I'd set up this thread to swap any rumors, especially considering the recent Comic Con panel.

So, my thoughts so far:

1. I hope to God Nathan stays dead. Yes, GrnMarvel, I know what you told me when we were debating his deadness a few weeks ago, but even then, I REALLY didn't like Nathan that much. He spent most of the last season being a pompous asshole. Angela, though, I kinda like. She's got that vaguely evil thing down. And I want Peter to have more screentime. Not just, because, you know, he's hot, but because they did a fantastic job developing his character.

2. Apparently, some J-pop star is going to play Hiro's love interest, a feudal princess. Which tells me Hiro is going to be stuck in Olde Japan for a while. I'll download some of her songs and tell you if she's any good.

3. Any predictions involving the villainy this season? My guess is that Angela's going to take over Primatech, now that Linderman's good and dead.

On a similar note: Next Sunday, according to something in today's copy of the Indianapolis Star, Hayden Panetierre (Claire's actor) will be at Gen Con Indy... to sell a new online pony dress-up game called Bella Serra and give a talk to girls about "following their dreams", followed by a question and answer and autograph session. Yeah. Thanks, Hayden.

(Nonetheless, being the nerd I am, I'll probably show up, considering I'll be there anyway.)

Hehehehe...
Being a member of a Heroes fansite conveys on me certain advantages, like getting a CRAPLOAD of spoilers.
Because I'm nice, they'll be under teh TAGZ.
1. Nathan is very much alive.
2. The Bennet family has moved to San Diego, and Claire has a super-powered boyfriend.
3. Takezo Kensai will be played by David Anders. Please don't ask me why or how or anything else about that.
4. Hiro will be in feudal Japan for about six or seven episodes.
5. Ando WILL RETURN!
6. There's a new regular character named Maya, played by Dania Ramirez.
She's from somewhere in Central America.
7. Sylar is VERY NOT DEAD. But he might not show up as much as originally planned, for reasons that should be VERY obvious if you've been paying attention to news recently.
8. One character will get amnesia, and one will become an alcoholic.
9. Not really a spoiler, but Noah Bennet gets to kick more ass.
10. First episode titled "Four Months Later", second titled "Lizards".
Woohoo, SPOILERZ!!!

More stoof.

Maya is on the run with her brother, who's her twin. Apparently they depend on each other for their powers. Think those weird twins from start of Smallville, season 6.

And Claire's new boyfriend can fly apparently. Oo; Tis weird, I thought they'd stick to one-power per person unless it's Peter. Anyway, that's from Kristin, the weird TV Woman, so it could be wrong.

Also, just found something else, on Ask Ausiello.

Ausiello: Yes, but it's going to require a spoiler alert. We'll be seeing less of Ali Larter this fall as Niki takes off early in the season to, as Larter herself teases, "fix something. And once it's fixed, it will be very shocking and exciting."

So, when Niki's most annoying aspect goes away, so does she? >> Yeah, that's...yeah, fine, whatever. xd

Got a crapload of ZOMG!Spoilerz!
Hiro will spend eight episodes in Japan.
Micah will be sent to live with his aunt Monica (played by Dana Davis) in New Orleans, and his great-aunt Nana, played by Nichelle Nichols (played Uhura in original Star Trek).
Kaito Nakamura's power will be revealed early in the season.
Sylar kills someone in the first episode (fans say it's probably Candice).
David Anders(Kensai) and Dana Davis (Monica) are regulars, and there's talk of promoting James Kyson Lee (Ando) to regular status as well.
Kristen Bell will appear on the show, starting from the 5th episode.

Gah! Mustn't... click... spoilers...!!

I really hope that Ando becomes more than the liability character and they make him like batman or something.

Don't know if this is a spoiler, but....

At the GenCon Q and A session, Hayden said that we'll actually see Claire cheerleading.

Whee. Thanks.

The girl playing Hiro's love interest is named Eriko Tamura. And to go along with how it was stated that Claire cheering again, there is a young lady named Lyndsy Fonseca debuting as a new cheerleader.

There's four or five young actresses set to play cheerleaders on the show.
But the big news is still Kristen Bell on the show. She's set to appear in 13 episodes, and when we first see her character, she'll be committing some sort of crime.

You know, at this point, I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as a Heroes spoiler... It just raises more questions than it answers.

You just know the crime's gonna be something stupid. Hell, Claire's moving to LA, so maybe Kristen's character is an actress commiting a crime within a show. :p

Also, from spoilers earlier in the summer, it seems Peter may just be the hero who gets amnesia. Which would suck, since that means he could die. xD Then again, could still be somebody else we know, with Heroes you can never be sure. =\

She blows up a baseball stadium, and then shoots her mother in the face when she discovers it was her! Yeah! lol, well, something really shocking would be really funny and unexpected like that.

Actually, San Diego.

Actually, San Diego.
Ah. xd Meh, close enough. :p

Well, since this is basically a Speculation thread, I'm going to do just that. :O In my opinion, Sylar was taken by Mama Petrelli's henchmen guys, including the Haitian, and with Linderman dead, she's now Head Honcho of whatever the thing is. Yey. :O

Been my theory since DL iced the old man.

Made some Pokemon crossover icons to pass the time. The two Gio ones I was inspired to make last night during the rerun of Company Man.

Admit it, Noah's a dead ringer for Giovanni.

Aw, but Noah actually loves Claire and Sandra. It's not fair to compare him to Giovanni. Not sure about Lyle, though.
SPOILERS AHOY!
Kristen Bell's character, Elle, is apparently electrokinetic.
Sylar will not be seen until episode 3 of Season 2, which is entitled "Kindred".
The new character West, who will be Claire's boyfriend, is played by actor Nick D' Agosto, and can fly, will be first seen in the first episode, Four Months Later, but will fly in episode 4, The Kindness of Strangers.
Kensei, played by David Anders, will be unmasked in the first episode, but his power won't be revealed until the second, entitled "Lizards".
There's a persistent rumor that Kensei/Kane's ability will be to control insects,
which would explain why there were so many cockroaches everywhere in Season One.
An episode will take place at least partially in Russia.
A Canadian city would be the focus for a Season 2 storyline.
Episode eight will be a flashback episode focusing on what happened in the four months between "How to stop an exploding man" and "Four Months Later"
Ricky Gervais has claimed he will be appearing on Heroes.
Teehee!
Read at your own peril.

Yeah, he IS closer to Linderman. I was mostly going off appearance more than anything else. Linderman looks like a Rowan clone. (Actually, I wrote a crossover involving the two for one of my LJ comms.)
Besides, I'm a Diamondshipper. The concept of a loving father isn't that hard for me to fathom.

Back on topic...

We have to wait till Ep. 8 to see what was going on? The USA Today article I read on it made it look like that would be episode 1... Damn.

TWO flying people? I see this will NOT be like One Piece, then, where the powers are mutually exclusive, which was the impression I got from season one. So now we have Nathan and Claire's boyfriend battling it out. Fun! (I hope Claire's boyfriend doesn't end up killing ClairexPeter shipping, by the way. If he turns into a May/Ginny/Dawn figure... grr...)

Claire/Peter is already dead, Neku.
Considering it's incest. I mean, among the anime fans, incest isn't a problem, but the vast majority of Heroes fans don't look kindly on it.
Think of the Episode 8 thing like the episode Six Months Ago. Anyway, I like it being mysterious and baffling. It's more fun that way.
The mutually exclusive power thing was never explicitly stated, and I never personally assumed that was the case. It wouldn't make genetic sense, anyway. Not that superpowers do, though.

Well, just saw the season premier of Heroes. They have introduced the Heroes (TM) versions of the Legacy Virus and hinted at the Heroes (TM) version of Apocalypse. Really, if they didn't have a deal with Marvel, they'd get their asses sued off so bad. And for the record, I absolutely HATE amnesia plots in drama. Hate hate hate. They're so fucking cliched and overdone, and usually incredibly implausible. Also, I'm a little creeped out by Claire's new flying love interest having the same powers as Nathan. I'm really worried about a Luke and Leia reveal at this point. Hopefully Maya will prove interesting, with her "everyone around me dies whenever I get upset" powers. For a while, I was hoping she and her brother would have superspeed and everyone could make Speedy Gonzales jokes about her.

I think the amnesia thing makes a lot of sense. If it was anyone else, I'd say it was stupid, but the man WAS blown up and had to heal from, presumably, near-nothingness. It makes sense that, the first time around, he might not be able to "find himself."

So, that WAS Peter?

...Poor Peter.

Last night's episode was great, though. Yeah, the flying boy thing is a bit annoying, not to mention creepy (if some guy from school was spying through my window, I'd make sure he never flew again.)
Molly's scene was creepy. Poor, disturbed girl. And poor Hiro's dad. Iced the first episode, and in front of Ando, too.

And Noah Bennet officially kicks ass. That was probably the best scene the entire episode, when he read his boss the riot act like that. Any more memory wipes, though, and they'll have to institutionalize his wife.

(By the way, did anyone else find the Nissan Rogue product placement annoying?)
