So, anyone as excited as I am?

NBC's starting airing new promos for it. Apparently,
Peter may die.

I hope this is just a red herring, though, because he's my favorite character on there.

Either way, this is probably going to lead up to an EXCELLENT season finale... now that we know who Linderman is, it'll be interesting to learn more about him.

Anyone got any crazy theories? I'm POSITIVE Linderman is somehow connected to Primatech.

Be sure to hide any possible spoilers, for those who might have missed an episode or two.

I just want their origins to be explained. Stealing the power origins from X-men wholesale seems a little lame. I want to see more Haitian and Claire adventures. And Nikki/Jessica need to die so bad. They're the most annoying character(s) on the show, I swear. Nikki is so spineless it's pathetic. All she ever does is cry and have pity parties.

I doubt Peter will die before the end of the second season, since he still has Claire's healing power and he's already been setup to be the main character for the second arc, like Claire was for the first.

I wonder if they're including that gay hero the screenwriters promised after Decker had that hissy fit about Zack being gay?

I second you on Nikki. Nikki isn't even a "hero". She's whiny and annoying and has too much of a soap opera plotline to be in the show. They stuck her with one of the STUPIDEST powers, and then made her be married to the character with one of the coolest powers.

Basically, in the ad I saw, Linderman's like, "Peter is dead". But it was Linderman, so he may have been saying that to manipulate whoever he was talking to.

I think it's also basically implied that Nathan's going to win the election, given that shot we see in Isaac's studio of him in the White House. Which goes back to how L was promising Nathan he could run for President.

And we will most inevitably see more Claire and Haitian adventures, given she trashed his passport. Pwnage, that was.

Is it sad the character I'm worried most about is Mr. Muggles? That poor doggie... (I have a far flung theory, though, that Muggles has powers, too... Doggie powers. It hasn't been said yet that animals can't have them, so the possibility's still there.

Isaac's getting too plot devicey for me. Every single storyarc in the show has basically revolved around his predictions. Then again, in that time between predictions (Homecoming to PETER GONNA ASLPODE!) the show and its characters felt totally directionless and flacid. They really have to do something to fix that.

I can't wait for the series to get back in gear and wrap up the first season.

As for the characters, I have to agree, Nikki/Jessica is just...a vapid character. They've tried to develop her into an interesting character, but all I keep thinking about is whether or not she's two people. It's annoying, and makes it hard to pay attention (and the constant personality shifts make it hard to tell what's going on when she does ANYTHING).

For Isaac, I like him as a plot device and a character. But I always like clairvoyant characters. So I might be oddly biased.

Most of the other characters I like, though I'd love to see some really random powers. Just...anything.

Hasn't it basically been implied that Isaac's going to die, anyway? In Parasite, he painted himself with the top of his head missing, Sylar-style...

Which has some chilling implications... I could see him using his newly stolen ability to track down future victims. Not to mention, that'd be some seriously messed-up art.

*drools in excitement*
The 23rd is almost as much in my mind as the 20th.
Despite it only being a wait of seven weeks, as compared to two years.
I saw pictures of the upcoming episode showing Isaac pinned down by Sylar.
So he's gonna die.
As I heard there's going to be one death this coming episode, it's going to be Isaac, not Peter.
Then Sylar will eventually be captured and forced to paint the future.
:D
I also saw pictures from the next episode of Peter alive, I think.
Hiro is still the most awesome.
Episode 20 will revolve around him, as it's the episode that explains the series' concept of time travel. It also mostly takes place five years in the future.
I have the spoilers.
I saw online that
Linderman has healing powers.

Oooh...

Forced to paint the future. Is it a safe assumption Mohinder's behind this?

And don't you mean the 22nd? I mean, the 20th is my birthday and all... but I never thought people looked forward to it like that... ^^0

Yes, those will be a good four days for the Neku...

Anyone else think that the organization Bennet works for seems exactly like Solomon from Witch Hunter Robin? Work for us people with superpowers, or we kill you?

I'm wondering when the existance of the superhumans will become public knowledge. You just know it's going to happen soon.

I started watching recently and I'm still confused about some of the characters. What is the relationship between Claire and Nathan? I want the series to resume so I have something to look forward to on Mondays, but I really need to watch the older eps to understand what's going on.

Nathan was, at one point, married to a woman with powers (she was a pyrokinetic)...or had a relationship, I forget. From that relationship, a child was born. This was Claire. Nathan and this other woman eventually separated and Nathan married another woman (who, as far as we know, has no powers). Claire was then found by the organization that Mr. Bennett works for and eventually, he came to be her caretaker (eventually, he was supposed to turn her back into the organization so she could become a field agent).

And, if you can't wait for the reruns, or just want to learn more: Best official site for anything...ever.

She was illegitimate.

Otherwise, Claire's mom wouldn't have called Nathan to blackmail him soon as Claire left her trailer.

Yes, and she caused a fire accidently, in which her child was thought to have perished. The fire started soon after Mr. Bennet, and his partner at the time, the man we know as Claude, came to visit Meredith in order to recruit her to the company. Claude went in, Bennet stayed outside. Soon, Claude ran out, saying there had been a fire. Bennet found the baby, and delivered her to the company. It is believed that Claude concealed that Meredith was alive, which is why Bennet was ordered to kill him later. Anyway, Kaito Nakamura, who was at the time very important in the Company, charged Bennet with taking care of the baby, but made him promise to turn her over to the Company if she 'manifested' (that is to say, showed any signs of having a power).
Wow, this show is insanely complex.
Spoilers for Episode 20, the future episode:
Every main character is said to die in this episode, several at the hands of Matt Parkman, who has become very important in the government, and is charged with hunting down those people with special abilities by President Nathan Petrelli. A preview shows Peter and Jessica kissing, Future Hiro, Nathan, Sylar, and Peter all going down the same hallway at different points, and Matt about to kill Mr. Bennet, while Hana Gitelman's corpse lies by him.
Regular Hiro ends up captured and interrogated by Future Matt.
These are major spoilers, so look at your own peril!

It's just an alternate future ala the killer Android future seen in DBZ. In fact, Future Hiro is supposed to be a reference th Future Trunks from DBZ . . .

Yes, it does seem to be an alternate future.
Or a future in which Hiro has failed. It's primary purpose as a storytelling device will be to show Hiro what is at stake, and give him the impetus necessary to do what must be done.
MORE SPOILERS! These are the press releases for Episodes 20, 21, 22, and 23.

Saw tonight's episode. All I can say is thank goodness season 2 won't be entirely comprised of:

"Isaac painted a bad future how do we stop it?!"

Like this one was.

Now someone, please kill Nikki and Jessica or merge their personalities into a character that doesn't annoy me horribly in two different ways at the same time.

Also, Linderman's stolen Ozymandias' plot for world domination from Watchmen. Blatantly so. So much so that I'm kind of annoyed.

Wow. That shapeshifter lady... is... EVIL. That's all I can say about her. Poor Micah.

And I guess my theory about Linderman was right. Not only is he CONNECTED to Primatech... apparently he RUNS it.

And wow, Sylar's art really IS disturbing. That is the most screwed up painting I've ever seen.

Next week looks fantastic. I can't wait.

Yes, another Hiro and Ando exclusive episode is always a good thing.

Ando is hot. ^^

Not Peter hot (and the next one, I understand, is Peter free, since he'll be dead, so Ando is a good thing. A very good thing.) But still hot.

Heroes is a very fangirl friendly show.
