Hello, everyone. I'm new here (just joined yesterday evening). I've been searching for a forum to be active in for quite some time, and this seems to be THE most welcoming community I've found.

So, a little about myself. My favorite color is blue, and my favorite Pokemon right now is Latios (and possibly Zoruack). I'm really into competitive battling, and in that sense I normally use stall-based teams. I am fully for the Swift Swim ban, as weather is a large obstacle for someone who's not using it.

Anyway. I enjoy writing, especially fanfiction and guides. For example, I helped write Marriland's EV Training guide. I guess I like to be helpful (as you might find out, I'm a bit odd :-/).

So. Thanks for being such an awesome community, and I'll be sure to post a bit elsewhere in the upcoming week ;-)

Yola! :D I'm happy to welcome any blue and fanfiction loving person with open arms and a zombie chicken (don't ask)

Hope ya have fun here and beware of poltry!

Welcome! As people say here, enjoy your stay! (I don't know why people say that here, but they always do.)

Thanks to everyone who's posted here!

Oh, and @Black_Cat, anyone who has a zombie chicken deserves my eternal respect.

Your username contradicts Sir...o_O But nice to meet you! :D

Cool username! Hack much? As in GameShark and AR, not, well, you know what I'm talking about mods and admins! D:

But anyway, I hope you feel warmly welcomed here, as this place is in its prime! :}

Again, thanks for such a warm welcome.

And @alex, only when I feel like running through Mt. Coronet on my Diamond. I might occasionally skip the EV and IV process through Pokegen to test something against a friend that's extremely gimmicky. Otherwise, I don't usually use ARs. Unless I feel like taking my wrath out upon wild Bidoofs with an Arceus that just so happens to know Outrage. And yeah, this place does seem to be growing fairly quickly.

And yes, my username is just that awesome. I think Charizard should've been the ice type (it's really a shame it has no competitive worth).

@Ice Charizard

Welcome to the forums! :-D
If you like to write, be sure to check out The Writer's Workshop.

Although, I'd like to give you a little advice about the mentions thing (when you put an '@' in front of someone's username). It sends the person a notification, so you should be sure it's getting to the right person. If the username of the person you want to mention is together, i.e no spaces, then all you need to do is write their name completely right next to the @. However, it's a tad bit more complicated with names that have spaces. In that case, do the following: use the mention tags.

They work like this:

@Write username EXACTLY as it appears. For example, it's Ice Charizard, not IceCharizard (it doesn't want to appear, but there's a [ / mention ] after the username. Just remove the spaces). And then you'd write the message.
The user number can be found easily by hovering over the username of an individual and looking at the link that appears at the bottom of the browser. Alternatively, you can visit their profile and get it that way. It's written in the link.

Yours is 55603. Mine is 48926. Try mentioning me with the technique I just described.

Welcome to the forums. =]

A simpler way to do mentions is to put @ and the Username of the person you want to mention, then put a colon aside from it. Like so:

@Octy:

Welcome to the forums!

My favourite colour is... deep green or something close. I love Turtwig. Turtwig all the way!

Personally, I'm not a fan of instated bans in competitive battling - rules are supposed to stick in my opinion, and people shouldn't have to check. But that's just my opinion...

I prefer reading things to writing things, but that's just me.

Have fun in BMGf!

@farewell, friend Well, this is definitely neat. Thanks for informing me! :-D

And @♪Twiggy♪ I'm not a big fan of Smogon's constant bans either, but I do like all the strategy involved. It's actually a bit similar to chess, in that you have to think into in order to win.

I also prefer reading to writing, really because I've only written a few stories and they were all short. And I'd probably get bored just focusing on one topic for a long period of time. Although I think I have a good idea coming along...
