Like togepi in generation 1 and kecleon in generation 2 and lots of others, they didn't show any previews before black and white came out in the anime.

They had Zorua and Zoroark in the 13th movie.

And Gen V Pokemon are far away in another part of the world, so they wouldn't usually be seen in Pokepan.

Zoroark and Zorua got their own movie... so yeah, I'd call that a preview...
However, it's true that they were the only Gen V Pokemon to be shown before BW started.

Because they did it too earlier in AG.

Munchlax debuted in Movie 7. Munchlax actually felt like a Hoenn Pokemon by the time DP came out. Sometimes I actually have to say, "Wait, Munchlax was a Sinnoh Pokemon?"

Maybe it's because we spam them too much before it actually become canon.

To elaborate on the OP's question, I believe s/he is saying that there were very few pokemon from a future generation that had appeared at some point in the DP anime/films.

The anime debuted Generation II pokemon such as Ho-Oh and Togepi during the Kanto saga. Other pokemon such as Snubbull, Marill, and Donphan, made their guest appearances in "Pikachu's Vacation" and "Mewtwo Strikes Back," respectively. The anime debuted more Johto pokemon like Elekid, Ledyba, Bellossom, Hoothoot, Slowking, and Lugia during the Orange Islands saga.

The Johto anime debuted Hoenn pokemon like Kecleon, Blaziken, Wynaut, Lotad, Zigzagoon, Seedot, Pelipper, Shroomish, and Sharpedo a few episodes before the start of Advanced Generation. Likewise, the fourth and fifth movies (which also took place in Johto) featured Lati(o/a)s, Wailmer, Azurill, Duskull, and Volbeat.

The first Sinnoh pokemon, Munchlax, made its debut appearance in the second Hoenn film. Another Munchlax appeared in the AG anime around six months later. Other Sinnoh pokemon, such as Lucario, Weavile, Mime Jr., Bonsly, Manaphy, Mantyke, Buizel, Chatot, and Electivire, made guest appearances in later AG episodes and films.

The Diamond and Pearl anime, however, did not feature any pokemon from the next generation of games. Zorua and Zoroark, who were the first officially revealed Gen V pokemon, only debuted in the fourth and final DP film, which aired merely a month and a half before DP ended.

It felt weird that the number of pokemon guest appearances in the DP anime were so restrictive considering the number of "new pokemon" that have been featured in the past sagas was so vast. To answer the question, I feel that the writers were informed that this region was meant to be relatively distant from the other four regions. They knew that the Unova pokemon were too far away geographically to appear in the Sinnoh region where DP took place, and vice-versa.

In fact, the Zorua and Zoroark who were featured in the thirteenth film have been purposely brought into Sinnoh by a villain who is actually from the Unova region due to the nature of their evolutionary line's unique ability (Illusion).

Ampharos King said it the best. But I think (unless I'm mistaken) that in America movie 13 was premiered a week before BW started. I'm not sure. For me at least that wasn't much of a preview for the new gen. Although by time that had happened we already new everything because it had been out months earlier in Japan. If they do a gen 6 *crosses fingers for it!* I hope we see a new Pokemon or two by the end of BW.

Like everyone else said, it's because Unova is so far away from the other regions. But the writers still could have made a Unova trainer visit whatever area Ash and co. were at so that they could see some Generation V pokemon. Like they did with Harrison in Johto.

I always love those episodes where the trainer calls out a pokemon that we may know, but we know the characters have NO idea that that pokemon ever existed before that encounter.

I assume Nintendo/Gamefreak's marketers are the ones who decide what rate to reveal new Pokemon at, not the anime writers.

Also, note that Zorua and Zoroark were revealed in magazines months before the movie premiered, so they predated the BW release by a while.
