I've been coming to bulgarden for years, but I've been hesitant to join the forums because I know I'm not hardcore about Pokemon(I'm an in-game player only. Competitive is way too hardcore; tiers and EVs/IVs WTF?:eek:). After practically squealing over how great the Black/White series have been, I finally decided to take a chance. Maybe I might not get run off a fan forum for once(I have a history of not having the popular opinion in fandoms and the fact the I'm a casual fan never helped either). :embarass: I actually swore I would never join a fan forum again, but Pokemon is my absolute favorite game series and my first "serious" game. Before then I had just dabbled with video games, never got really deep into it. I'm still a casual gamer(and proud of it:cool:), but I definitely play video games enough own a save up for a console/handheld every generation(and get "nerdgasms" when a new game is released:crush:).

I got into Pokemon through the anime and I still kinda watch it on/off. I'm from the Red/Blue generation and no, I am not a "genwunner". R/B has special place in my heart, but it was a mess and the series has gotten better each generation. I think Black/White is becoming my favorite game now. I didn't I'd ever love a game more than Gold/Silver.

You don't have to worry about getting "run off" this forum. There are many nice people here that share many different opinions about Pokemon and are many people who just casually play the game like me I don't care much for competitive stuff or EVs/IVs either. It's has something for everybody. Gold and Silver is certainly a favorite of mine too.

Nah don't worry about having an unpopular opinion, we accept all sorts here, even those that don't really play Pokemon - like myself.
